WI MN trails

I am trying to find some new trails to ride in WI or MN. I live about an hour east of st. paul Mn and looking for more 4x4 trails to ride. When I go to the dnr's website I can find plenty of trials but not a good description of the terrain. I know the Iron range is fun but hoping to keep the drive to around 3 hrs. So we can make it a day trip. With diesel over 4 bucks a galllon I hate wasting the time and money to find the trails more or less dirt roads through the woods.

I figured a lot of the riders on here are mud riders and may know of some fun spots.

Problem in mn is your go in a wet land and turn up 1 piece of vegetation and they catch you kiss ur ride goodbye! Mn is really strict about there wet lands. Silverbay mn has some good trails. Kinda far for you though. WI seems to like there recreational riders better than mn. Good luck
