I just bought a 800efi clutch for Amy's bike last night. It is actually a clutch off a 2006 500 efi but they started putting the same clutch on the 2006 500's as they did the 800's, it is the clutch with the smaller, smooth one way center bearing. This same clutch helped my bike tremendously when I put one on my bike so she is pretty excited that we finally got one for her bike. I've been looking for over a year but they all get up too high on ebay but the guy didn't give the greatest description on the clutch and there was only one other bid on it besides me so I won it "uncontested". These clutches sell at the dealer for close to $400.00 bucks and I got this one for $132.50. All I gotta do is swap her Heelclicker from her old clutch to the new one and slap it one. I can sell the one off her bike and make up MOST if not all my money back. Ya gotta love ebay.

Is her old one in good shape Lee? I just recently got a used one for a spare and its pretty worn out at the bottom on the sheeves and has a lot of crakes coming outward from the bottom, not something I really wanna put on my machine, know what I mean. If its priced right, I call first dibs on it ;)

Yea, it's in PERFECT shape, nothing wrong with it at all. We just wanted to get her one with the small one-way bearing because that clutch adds so much more low end to our little 500 bikes, it's great. If I could talk her into a lift, we might could do some horse trading. ;)

Hell ya, I'll trade horses anyday buddy, I LOVE the barter/swap system LOL :D

I got red 1-1/2's 2's and 3's on the shelf for the front, you just gotta tell me what that little firecracker of yours wants lasered on them and what size she wants ;)

She's pretty dead set on not having a lift. I WANT her to have a lift but it has been SO nice not having any axle or boot issues out of her bike. Let me work on her.

thats what i thought when i was deciding on a lift. i didn't want a hole lot of shit breaking. but i can tell you that 2" makes a lot of difference in some of the holes. and i have broke one cv due to rider.

Yea, I know the lift will make a big difference. When we went to Doles in November, I went through this one nasty mud hole and it was SO sloppy that the bike wouldn't budge unless I got off and pushed it, well after I got out the hole (rode out, NOT winched out) Amy decided she was gonna try it and her frame bottomed out on the center rut and I had to winch her out. The ONLY difference in me getting out and her not, was my bad ass RD lift. But man oh man, not one single busted axle or boot on her bike sure has been nice. She also doesn't have throttle control like I do, she has two speeds, wide open and stop.

I'm not 100% sure Turk, I could tell with the glance of it though or I could tell you how to tell the difference. Have you actually ever looked at your clutch ???

Yes, you will have to take the floorboard off to get the clutch cover off. There really isn't anything to be careful with, there ain't nothing to hurt in there.

I'll make sure to snap a few pics of the clutch when I have the cover off.
