View Full Version : When a Hondamatic dies...
Here's a few pics of the Hondamatic unit out of a Rubicon for you viewing pleasure. Not that this happens alot, actually this is the first one I've ever had to replace. Bike was very low miles, must have been a freak thing.

I always wondered what made those things tick. Must have been all the broken pieces that were making the ticking sound.

would have been pre 2005, I don't remember, want to say 03? I think it had about 2500 miles maybe, perfect condition. What's wild is I drove it around and pulled it into the shop like that, I figured a bad joint in the ass end driveline from the sound it was making- wrong.

doesn't matter, you can't repair that unit, you have to buy a whole new hydro assembly.
