Yup, it must have happened recently! Heres why......keep in mind I have been a Polaris die hard since I started riding, currently with 3 popo's in my fleet right now

Got an offer to buy a friends 2008 Renegade 800X that has never been mud riddin, the motor is still silver, not mud stained, and it only has 1400 KM's on it. Came to me on Tuesday just as you see it below,

Now here it is 3 days later with snorks installed by a friend, and me putting on new wheels and tires, our bumper/rad kit, and starting on the custom floor boards,

Here it is today, all stock motor, no clutch kit, no pipe, no performance mods at all OTHER than our race wheels with 30" backs and the custom racing foot wells I was building until almost 2 am last night, this is my wife Mrs Rubberdown (Melissa) first time on this renegade (or any renegade for that matter) spankin the shit out of a guy tellin his buddies he had to "race a girl" LOL, Melissa is on the right...

And lastly, heres what it looks like tonight after a hard day of racing. Melissa finished 2nd over all in the 750+ class even beating a Wild Bore Can Am that has a TON of work done to it, taking second to a DONE TO THE NUTS renegade that seems to win almost all of the races around here.....I'm so proud of here, she only knows one throttle positions... TO THE FRIKKIN BAR!!!!

All that said and done, after the races were over, I got to play in the pit on this new Renegade, and I am pretty sure my popo 850 might be going up for sale to make room for ANOTHER renegade ;)

A friend in North Bay area bought his 800 Can Am , put $4000 in mods in it and less then 3 months later the XMR came out. What a machine. Power steering, air ride... on top of all the normal race mods.
If they do this to a renegade with a 1000 motor, I know which band wagon I will be on!

Lot of speculation about the 1000 in a renegade and outlander, but nothing I've seen is definative yet and July is the dealers show sooooo????? Probably why someone would be willing to part with a winning machine though.

And for what everybody's saying... Rumors are exactly that, rumors. If you wait and wait and wait and wait to buy something because the rumor is "this" or "that" then what are you going to do until then? What if the specific ride you heard rumors about does not get released for 2 more years? Or what if it's not made at all?

Buying a specific "ready made bike" is great for people who don't have the knowledge to do it or don't have the time/ability to do it. If you of all people are planning on waiting for a 1000 Outty or Gade just for the bigger engine I say your crazy. With the people you know and knowledge you have your gonna spend thousands and thousands of extra dollars to buy a bike you could build/have built. Buy a bone stock base 650 and have it built to whatever you want and save a crap load of money. The 650's have the same exact engine as the 800 with just a smaller bore and can be built to over 1100cc's with as much HP as you wallet can handle.

Some say "well your gonna screw up your warranty with a built bike vs buying one already made for it".... You think any dealers gonna warranty a bike once you bring it in with no floorboards, swamplox and the other stuff your gonna do to it anyway?

Besides, there's a little pride in having something you built vs having something you bought. Not to mention that you get the bike exactly like you want it instead of having a bike exactly like somebody else wanted it.

love the bike and if u do clutching on the gade do a full qsc primary best mod yet for me,my 09 was a very tuff bike buthe i love the xc with power steering and qe but the 1000 would be even better lol
