We have a 2009 RZR, only engine mods added are the dual Muzzy's, K&N Air Filter and PCV. Machine has never had any problems until a couple weekends ago. My wife drives it, and she also races it in our little mud bogs in Southern Ontario. After one of her heats at the last race this machine was at, it started to sputter, like it was loosing power. She managed to get out of the pit and then it wouldnt start at all. I re-charged the battery and tonight got around to pulling the bed off to check the plugs, one looked a bit darker than the other but both still had good spark. I think cleaned them up a bit and put them back in, still the same thing, just turns over but not start.

What else can a simple man like me check, and how? I'm not much of a motor or electrical guy at all so if it sounds to complicated, we will have to take it to the dealer :(

Is there a way to check for any trouble codes on this model?

Thanks.

Can you hear your fuel pump run? I know I can hear mine.

Sounds dumb but is it getting gas? can you hear the fuel pump prime when you first turn the key on?
You've got starter and spark so all thats left is fuel....

Seem to remember you saying the PC5 got wet? First thing i would try is disconnnecting it and try it! Never know, something in there could have just fried all of a sudden.

Well.....after an hour or so last night removing the entire bed to get at the plugs without dropping a ton of dirt into the cylinders, and a half hour tonight removing the PCV and still not starting, I was ready to push it into the trailer for the dealer to figure it out.....THEN A LITTLE LIGHT BULB WENT OFF.....I remember reading somewhere a long time ago that the fuel gauge screws up sometimes on some machines, and since the gauge said I had over 1/2 a tank, I never even thought it was out of gas. Soooo, I added some fuel and she fired right up...then spent the next 2 hours putting the programmer back on and putting it all back together. Son of a %&*#@!!!!

Good job Cap'n. Is there a way to fix the guage or new one???

looking into that, it could be a short somewhere, or it could be something inside the tank, either way, its way over my head LOL.

need to buy a whole new tank to get the guage to work again. float is most likely fuel saturated.

If the float were saturated the gauge would read empty all the time as the float would sink to the bottom even if the tank were full of fuel.

Mechanics 101 Paul... The logic of the K.I.S.S. = Keep It Simple Stupid. I've done stuff like that before, good times lol

As the great Karl Childers once said in the movie Sling Blade " It ain't got no gas in it!" Ummhhmm. By the way, if U haven't seen that movie your man card has been revoked!

He's still trying to convince himself that he needs a canam.

Just found it funny that the POPO is a POS cause the owner forgot to put gas in it. The canned hams must have an automatic gas delivery system.

LMAO!! Think its more the gauge he was calling a POS. And its not an automatic gas delivery system, its a fuel regeneration system. Makes its own fuel. We all gots to get some canned hams

Phil Phil Phil Phil, I still got 3 popo's in the stable buddy, and I still like all 3 of them, I just wish stupid shit didnt go wrong with them, like a damn fuel gauge saying it was half full and being out of gas, thats all. Just hate the fact I spent so much time expecting something worse only to find out its something so dumb that shouldnt be a problem, I mean its a friggin fuel gauge....
