I got this from another site take it for what its worth.
"The XT models get the color coded wheel inserts like the XT-P models have. So a red XT has red inserts. Looks good IMO. XT's get the fender extensions from the factory. All models get the XMR belt case and inner guide with double the bolts. New swtch assembly on the handle bars for the starter side. All vent lines are run up like the XMR. Still has the same CVT exhaust outlet. Can't wait for the next NEW items for 2012..... "
