I've cooked steaks twice and burgers once. I'm slacking too... The heat is really tearing me up this year...

I grill at least 2 weekly. Dont have to stay outside for very long though. But Ready is spot on, the temps have been brutal.

Did some sirloin tips on the grill tonight, but didn't think I could finish cooking them.... standing in front of the grill with a sunburn was killing me, had to sleep in the lazyboy last night just to make sure I wouldn't roll over on my arms or face LOL. Got plans for a Boston butt later this week, maybe some baby backs too.

Did you forget the Bullfrog Ray? Sounds painful. Yeah I think the heat is why I haven't even grilled much this year also. I picked a good day for it though, no heat alert going on. Yesterday was 105.

LOL, I do use Bullfrog and I did forget it in the truck. Thought I'd be fine but after 6 hours on the water without a cloud in the sky I was pretty crispy. Hurts just to leave the AC for a 30 second walk to the mailbox lol.
So you get that feast on the smoker already? How big did you get?

Ouch that would suck! It sure saved our hides on that ride.
Yep slab is smokin away. It was about 15 lbs, but I'm only cooking half of it today, and put the other half in the freezer.

Wow, big one. What's it going for a pound around your world? Been outta control around here, like $7.99 for regular and $8.99 for Angus... Doesn't make sense that 1 of the toughest cuts is priced the same as Delmonicos and T bones, guess we don't have enough cows around New England lol.
Last nights, sirloin tips cut thin and marinaded on skewers, rice and greenbeans, and hot from the oven French bread.

Tonights chow... Sirloin with a rub my buddy gave me that has ground coffee in it, unbelievable stuff. I'll post up whats in it after I see him in a couple days and bum the recipe off him. Summer squash, zucchini, and baby bella mushrooms from the farmers market sauteed in butter and olive oil for the side.
Still waiting on one of my lazy ass buddies to drop one of his old apple trees so we can get the smoker rippin again... ran outta of wood after last weeks Boston butt.

Well sorry to tease, but here's yesterdays turkey in the smoker.
It was ok, but not worth all the prep time with the brine soaking and all IMO. Like I just told Ray, gimme COW anytime!

Yeah only have to go outside every so often to check on the smoker, that's the great thing about them! Don't have to heat up the house with the oven/stove. :)

Yikes... I love me some bird but I'll pass on the deep fried internal organs. I've tried them before and while not that bad I can't get the thought of eating something from the digestive tract of a critter the roots through it's own poo for food lol.

Everything is better with peppers of some kind!
Jalapenos, habeneros, chili piquins, tabasco, etc...

Definately been slackin off when it comes to getting the coals going. Got a few new recipes I want to try but haven't found the motivation. Only fired the grill up once over the whole 3 day weekend.
Some cheddar and bacon stuffed burgers, bacon wrapped stuffed peppers, and onion rings. Lemon squares cooling in the fridge for later.
