No thanks. LOL. Looking further south, easier for the bamers than the last one hopefully(and less tickets. lol). I think the only problem with Hatfield we have come up with before was the fact that you have to trailer to the trailheads, and guess they arn't close.

I called Hatfield and McCoy today. The Rockhead trail system is the biggest and thats 89 miles of trails then there are a few more that are between 63-79 miles or trails. You do not have to trailer it to the trails. You are allowed to drive the atv to the trailhead. The lodging is between 1-5 miles from the trailheads. WV is not a dry county either they just don't want drinking on the trails just like everywhere else you go. There are a lot of places to stay. By next year some of the trails will be joined. If there are other places give me some names and I will call and get info.

Here is alittle info I can give I was there in June, we stayed in Gilbert wv which is on the rockhouse system the other town attached to rockhouse is Mann wv. Only systems linked together are pinnacle and Indian, we also rode bear wallow and little coal creek. We did trailer the bikes but all the trail systems were 45 mins or less from Gilbert wv.

Those look pretty nice and I'm assuming they are all next door to each other. The more people staying in each, the cheaper per night cost. We will also need to find Hotel/B&B and camp grounds near by. That way we would be able to accomodate everyone. I'm in for a house with full kitchen.

Twin Hollow Campground also has eight cabins, each with 6-foot, covered decks with mountain views. Three cabins have separate bedrooms and bunks in their living areas. The other five cabins do not have separate bedrooms, but have a variety of sleeping arrangements, from twin beds to bunk beds. One cabin is handicapped accessible. All cabins feature heat and air conditioning and private baths with showers. Other amenities are satellite TV, ceiling fans, towels, linens, and full-sized kitchens with dishes, pots and pans and silverware. Guest may use the camp's charcoal barbecue grills and picnic tables. ATV riders have direct access to the Hatfield-McCoy ATV trail system from the parking lot.

I wish that was how it worked at my place! Each department has its own list. Selection starts with the senior most guy and he gets to choose all of his weeks first ( up to eight ) and then it moves on down the line. We are then only allowed to have one guy per job off at a time. To make it even worse, each employee is only allowed 2 weeks during prime time ( basically, school summer vacation ). I think in my dept for this vacation year, out of 52 weeks, there is only 1 or 2 weeks when there isnt someone off. Its pretty picked over by the time a junior guy like myself ( 15 years seniority LOL ) get his pick.

When I had my own shop I could have taken as many weeks as I wanted but never did... in 15 years I think I took off 5 full weeks and then the ocasional day here or there. I was always worried someone would burn the place down or get me sued when I wasn't around. Now tha I work for someone else and want to take off as much time as possible I never can because the 2 old timers that own the place are never around. Can't win lol.
I'm glad to hear the next ride is stateside... kind of a bummer that the Canadian government didn't want me around for the Kearny one lol.

Hey crystal, did you have something in mind?
Haven't put much thought towards the shirts yet but we'll come up with something [Paul had mentioned H/M fued tied in there somewhere/somehow, maybe some crossed rifles??? with RDC stuff, date, year, W.V. etc.].......maybe samething as last year, you pick YOUR colour and size and I'll bring them with me to save on shipping and what not.

I might wanna tag along on this ride. I am looking for a place other than Arkansas for later in the year. I am headed to Harlan in June. I was thinking of goin to Brimstone, but I would like to meet the friends from up North, plus this trip already is planned, LOL!!!!!!!! Bout a 10 hour drive, but its doable and I like the 1 week trip, leave on a Saturday and come back on a Saturday. I got 2 weeks of vacation, just need to check with the wallet first, LOL!!!!!!!!!
