Looks good but i would try & find some actual specs on the bend radius.
I know it says excellent bend radius but don't the snorkel tubes have some very tight bends just to make them fit through the frame?

Hey Tim, is this the product you were talking about the bend radii about, or was it a different tubing? I forget all what you came up with over here that day.

looks to me like it would be a little to stiff.

torkmonster
02-22-2008, 12:53 AM
I think they're around 150 or so but don't quote me on it.. not for sure...

Rebel64
02-22-2008, 06:51 AM
$264 total

torkmonster
02-22-2008, 07:51 AM
see, i was wrong!! the hondu's were round one fifty or so i think when i looked on there last. gue
s it makes sense that polaris kit would be more... more material.. It was a little more mark than if buying all the materials yourself, but i think you'll like this better.. are all the or most of the pieces gonna be like those for the honda's, with the harder type plastic?? like that's on their site? they don't show one for the stealth...

Rebel64
02-22-2008, 08:11 AM
Yeah it didn't really surprise me too much with that price, and yes I think I'll like this better also rather than coming up through the front box/rack.
I suppose if I ever DO want to go with the rack method, I can just re-route the hoses and add on more length.
They told me that the hose is the white material with the wire wrap inside, and then wrapped outside with some kind of tape...okkkk, but here is the airbox fitting that they use:

cool man... what size are those hoses???? two or one and half... hard to tell on this phone..!!!

Rebel64
02-22-2008, 08:35 AM
Yanno, I'm not entirely sure...never did think of asking them that.

Rebel64

You got it. Lots of progress pics will be taken over the course of the next couple of weeks.

So, this kit will come up thru the fenders behind the rack I'm guessing? 4 pipes or what? I've been on their web site a couple of times but didn' see anything for the PoPo's.

torkmonster
02-23-2008, 12:43 PM
yeah they dont have any polaris listed there yet... just the Hondu!!

No the fenders aren't touched...they're routed along the fuel tank and underneath, then up to the pod...or straight into the bottom of the front box if you go that route.

They need to update their website big time...it pretty much sucks except for the video links.

PoBoy800
02-23-2008, 03:03 PM
I like how that sounds but I assume that means don't submerge the pod. At least your not cutting holes in everything and the bike will look unmolested.

Rebel64
02-23-2008, 03:09 PM
Unmolested...that's funny!

But yes, I just will need to keep the pod out of the water and I'll be good.
I still might extend the hoses and come out of the box though someday, but that will still only be a couple inches higher than the pod...just not sure if it's worth it at this time. Who knows with me...I change plans as much as the weather here changes. ;)

Rebel,

I just received my triangle snork kit yesterday. I will post pics as well. I watched the DVD and it looks pretty easy to do. So far I've got everything taken off and apart. I think it is going to work out pretty. Thanks again for the rad relocate info.

Ryan

Thanks guys. Nice forum. Good information. Update on the snork kit. I made the bold assumption that the holes on the fitting that goes on the airbox lid would actually match up. Well they didn't. They were ever so slightly off. I didn't notice until after I put the black silicone all over and tried to put it on. Needless to say I got that stuff all over me. Anyway, minor setback. I cleaned it up and tonight I will try again with a different approach. Other than that it looks like everything else is gonna work out good. I'll keep yall posted.

Thanks for the heads-up on that part.
I sure hope my kit will arrives today on schedule.

Hey Mark, be careful when you unpack it because they pack all of the parts loose with some shredded paper and you could easily throw something away you will need.

Ok I'll try not to act like a 10 yr old on christmas morning!

Will do. I won't make any real progress until this weekend. I only have about an hour a night to work and I'm working on several other projects like wheel bearings, tie rod ends, changing all fluids, possibly new seals on fron diff, blah blah.

Rebel64
02-27-2008, 11:14 AM
Ryan, would you mind taking progress pics of the wheel bearings changeout also? I have a feeling I'll be doing that in the next few months.
