I just picked up my first two mounts from Matt at Bird Works and I could not be happier. While I was there I also dropped off a Wood Duck, my goal is too at least have one bird done a year from here on out.

Wow, the guy does nice work. Is the second mount a landing or fighting pose? I don't hunt at all, but a couple beatiful birds like that would look nice in my fishing and tackle workshop.

He is very talented and truly understands the anatomy of the birds. The Mallard is a landing pose right before they hit the water; it is referred to as cupped up. I could take some birds for you 800Stealth if you are intrested, not sure how much I will get to hunt this year but it would not be a problem. Here is his web address if you want to check out some more work or are interested in having a bird done. http://www.birdworkstaxidermy.com

I'm trying to type a response without leaving it wide open for interpretation. Mounts, birds, landings.... LOL
So very nice mounted birds! Look so realistic!
