Paul, How do you think the lights will hold up if you mount them directly to the bracket? I know the radiator bracket gets HOT or at least mine does. Just a thought.

looks good. you need to add some red ones though. i was thinking about putting some strobes on my bike. the one auto store in town sells blue and red trailer light. they are the same size as rincon4x4's led's. i was thinking of rigging something up with them.

Thats what I get for wearing the dang things at dawn.

I dunno why but for some dumb reason I thought this thread was started by Rebel64 who indeed does have a machine with black plastics.

Nice strobes Rincon & Rebel. Been lookin at them on the web. Any advice on brands or technical issues you ran into.

I guess that all depends on your budget. Mine are the LIN4s from Whacker. Around $80ea with the L bracket and are totally submersible.
To change the flash patterns you need a good momentary button switch. I first went with a cheapo from Radio Shack and it's now sticking, but I since have bought marine grade buttons called Cole Hersee M-608's. Still gotta get them installed though.

I have 2 Axixtech XLT6-LED's. Let me see if the video link works.

Looks real good man! Were you making the dogs bark with them in the video?

Jonathan
02-14-2008, 06:29 PM
Yea, the dogs are not big flashing lights at night fans.

The site I bought them from no longer exist. They are water proof and designed for Police and Fire use. Here is a site I found that carry them.

Hummm, you get what you pay for when it comes to LED lights. I would say one dunk in the water and a little steam then those lights would be history. Try some though for that price and let us know. If they work good then you might have stumbled onto something good.

or, on that note...Get the cheapez at autozone and replace them when they break.. It is a atv ofcourse.. Who cares.. you guys have them and im jelous.. thats the skinny of it..

Im still working on wheels and tires. lmao

they say they are water proof though. i would get the ones from autozone but there is no such thing as autozone around where i live. i don't even think they exist in canada.

i might try them. he has a couple auctions on them. i just not 100% sure if i want strobes yet.

Well, when it comes to electronics, you generally get what you pay for. From what I've seen, the flasher is the critical component and depending on how many flash patterns you want the cost goes up. They are cool and I would like some on my bike just as soon as I catch up on this new house (will that ever happen?!?)

Jonathan
02-15-2008, 01:56 PM
Well I paid about $100 a peice for the LED's I have in the pics on page 2. If you watch the whole 1:45min video it will shoe I have 16 different flash pattern to chose from. All I had to do was install a momentary switch.

PoBoy800
02-15-2008, 02:37 PM
You both have really cool light set-ups. I'm totally jealous. Went to the Whackers web site and checked em out. Looks like good products and I might just go with em when I'm ready to play. Thanks for all the info and intertainment. I imagine Shirley will say something like: WHAT!! MORE CRAP FOR YOUR QUAD?!?! NEXT THING YOU KNOW YOU'LL BE WANTING A MACHINE GUN ON IT!! And I'll be thinking I know just where to find one.:mod:
