You want a free lift kit for that RZR of yours?????
I'll need a few pics of the suspension and some measurments but it shouldnt be too hard to make from that. This is how I came up with my Ranger kit with the help of Scottginfla.
Let me know either way, if your not interested, I'll post it somewhere else with more RZR owners, but I figured I see if you were interested first ;)

I have been out of town for a while. My son needed surgery so we were down at Childrens Hospital. Evey thing is going good now. Sure let me know what you need for pictures and I will get them set out to you.

Do you have a set of dial or digital vernier calipers? I would need pictures of the shock mounts, both front and back, top and bottom, then I would send them back to you all marked up with arrows and you would need to take some measurments and fill in the blanks. Also, pictures of the sway bar linkage like on the sportsmans and rangers.
This is how I got my Ranger kit made up with the help of Scottginfla, and the first kit was good enough to use, but the second kit was perfect.
E-mail me pics to heyhercrubberdown@yahoo.ca

He's 13 and doing just fine. He has a seziure disorder and it involved an implant he had 3.5 years ago. Yes I have a caliper. The machine is back at the dealer as a display but I can go over there and take some picture tomorrow.

glad to here he is okay, tell him we are wishing him well at the ruberdown home.
Okay, so go take some pics, from different angles if you can and make sure you name the pics what they actually are, front top, front bottom, rear top etc etc, and take a couple wider angle shots so I can see the entire suspension setup as a whole.
Thanks dude.

I was thinking $175 shipped and insured, we'll see how that gors and then adjust if needed. There is a bit more work involved on these than the lifts with the aluminum front kits, not so much more material cost, but more labor cost for welding and slower machining times since its all machined steel

RD, be very very careful when messing with the rear lower shock mounts. The rear brake line goes under the shock and it has to be able to move. I hope you account for that. Do you know what I'm talking about?
If that line can't slide back and forth nicely it is going to kill the brake line and then you lose brakes.

Have you run the rear suspension through full travel to make sure the fitting doesn't hit or damage the brake line or fitting? It's hard to tell from the picture, but it looks close.
Awesome job though on the lift RD, you shoulda been an engineer.
Rubberdown
09-04-2007, 04:47 PM
Thanks for the compliment BIGT, i actually like to engineer a lot of the fixtures and designs we use on a regular basis to make the cutting tools we do at work but I never did go to school for engineering LOL, its just something I like to do. I look at something long enough and try to make it EASIER for the user to do or EASIER for the machines to grind or machine the parts.
As for the rear suspension and brake line, 1 change needs to be made and it will have that rear lift block sitting good and solid with plenty of room for the brake line to move around in.

Got a few more miles on it this last weekend. works flawlessly. It seems to have a firmer ride. I am not sure why, maybe with the slight change in shock angle. I have the shocks set on the lowest setting and works great. Love how it looks and the the lift is built rock solid.

Third generation is a go. with the 26" mud Gears there is enough clearence for me to be comfortable. I installed a set of 27" swamplites on 14" Torqs. and they clear the motor mount but if the side lug was any taller you will have to run spacers. The quality of the lift is so far beyond any other lift I have ever seen. Hats off to you Paul.

i heard on the hl forum that there rzr lift requires you to drill a hole in one of the shock mounts or something like that. sounds like a lot of people are a little iffy about having to modify stuff. so looks like you have the best dezined lift to.
Bigdog800EFI
09-26-2007, 08:14 AM
RDs lift there is no drilling. I thought we had the final lift design the other day , But RD asked me to try the stock tires. Put them back on and that is what we are working on right know. I beleive they are drilling a hole for the sway bar connect. Paul is designing the lift so there is no cutting or drilling.

Vern, I'll e-mail you those instructions tonight and everywhere it says "INSERT PICTURE HERE" thats where I will insert a picture of the above instruction so if you could maybe pull it off on one side front and back one more time to snap a few more pics, that would be greatly appreciated. RZR Front Instructions
Lift the RZR off the ground with a floor jack of some sort and pull the tires off
Remove the lower shock bolt and pull the lower part of the shock out of the way as well as the end of the front sway bar .
Make sure all the bolts go into ALL of the holes with the threads pointing towards the FRONT of the machine.
Put a 3 bolt through hole A of the Sway bar offset plate, and then slide 2 washers onto the bolt up against the sway bar offset plate.
http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j158/rubberdown/Stabalizerplate.jpg
http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j158/rubberdown/100_0088.jpg
Place the lift block into the space that the shock was in with the stabilizing center tab pointing towards the tire. Slide the bolt that goes through hole A and the 2 washers into the lower shock mounting hole and put a nut on the end of the bolt, but dont tighten it just yet. Put the lower end of the shock into position in the top part of the lift block and slide a 3 bolt through hole B of the Sway bar offset plate, the top hole in the lift AND the end of the shock, now put a nut on the bolt, dont tighten it just yet.
http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j158/rubberdown/front-2.jpg
http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j158/rubberdown/front-1.jpg
Put the end of the sway bar in line with hole C of the sway bar offset plate and slide a 2 bolt through the sway bar end and then through hole C and put a nut on the end.
Now you can tighten all the nuts in place.
RZR Rear instructions
Pull tire off and remove lower shock bolt and pull the lower end of the shock out of the way. Place lift block into space that the shock was in with the stabilizing center tab pointing towards the tire. Slide the original stock bolt through the lower lift block holes to fasten the lift block into place in the original lower shock mounting position. Slide the shock into the lift block and use a 2-1/2bolt to fasten it into place and put the nut on and tighten.
