I'm thinking of running some type L/M copper along with some street ell's to solve my filler neck problem and to take the strain off the hoses.

I plan on using rubber cased clamps to secure the pipe to where the fan bolts to the radiator.

Am I over engineering or just being foolish?

Been running brass connectors on mine since day 1. Haven't had any problems at all and I've been running engine ice for the last 8 months.
