Tried this on that "other" site but the thread was locked because I didnt list prices for every single thing.

Parted out a 03 Polaris 700 Sportsman. The motor, front and rear diffs, speedo, axles, wheels and tires are gone. But EVERYTHING else is still here.

Drop me a PM or post here with what you need and ill reply with a price.

what color are the plastics?

"Bankrupt"
08-05-2007, 12:25 AM
the plastics are blue/silver but they arent in good shape. i cut the front fenders back when i didnt know better.

the rear are fine but nobody wants 1/2 a set of plastics.

OK here goes. How much for...

Handle bars
Right side foot well. I think the 03 is the same as 04.
Ignition switch
& CDI box if it reves higher than my 600. I max at 6810rpm

i have the handlebars, ignition switch and CDI. (not sure how high it revs cause the 03 didnt have a tach.) but it never failed to fire and has never cut out on me while i was riding it. the handlebars are in good shape and the ignition switch is almost brand new.

the footwells were cut and shortened by 1.5" to allow for more clearance. its a great way to keep the tires from rubbing but makes them useless if your running small tires.

make me a offer on the 3 items. im not out to stick it to anybody. just wanting to help somebody get what they want and me move some stuff and maybe make a dollar or 2.

OK i will look into the CDI & see if the 03 700 was set higher than the 600 was.
As for the footwell Im not sure. I just want to replace my busted one with a stock one.

I will be in touch later
Thanks.

Is the air box the same style as on the 04 500HO, probably right? Did you snorkle that with a better lid with 2 hoses on the top of it, or is it still a stock style air box?

"Bankrupt"
08-12-2007, 03:08 PM
the airbox lid didnt have any holes cut in it. i used a plastic piece and blocked off the hole on top.

the bottom of the box is where i cut the holes. it has a 1.5" hole in the bottom.

as for it being the same. i dont know. it looks the same as the one on my new bike, but i havent tried it to know for sure.

So it only has 1 hole for the airbox for the snorkle? I thought if you made the airbox snorkel go to the front rack it would require 2 tubes or you would have to rejet the carb???? Did you "T" it into 2 hoses then? Where in the bottom of the box, like the VERY bottom?

I may take it off your hands if you can sort of explain how you had that machine snorkled for the air box because I want to run dual stack's for my air box and turn the nut buster into a cup holder or something.

"Bankrupt"

no, i only had 1 pipe for the airbox (was my first snorkle job) but it needed 2.

i did rejet the carb but it still wasnt enough. i should have put 2 but like i said, i didnt really know what i was doing. the hole for the pipe is ran out of the bottom of the box, close to the rear. another could be added easily. and it really need to have 1 more. i think even with a 500 it should have 2.

with your being a carb, its a ton easier to snorkle than my efi. and with yours being a 500 (single) and not a 700 (twin) it should be even easier.

ok, just posted this at the "other site"

wanted to give anybody here a chance too.

got a entire 2003 sportsman 700 parted out. the tranny, motor, diffs, speedo, axles, wheels/tires are already gone. a few of the odd parts are gone also. like the racks and foot brake master cylinder.

all suspension parts are here. all calipers, rotors are here also. starter sylinoid, frame, controls, handle bars, wiring, misc parts off the motor (waterpump, covers, and other bolt on stuff)

i need this stuff out of my way.

ill take 20.00 per part + shipping or any 2 parts for 30.00 + shipping. (ill take less for tiny parts)

i got the carb too. ill take 70.00 + ship for the carb. it was just rebuilt and has a dyno-jet kit installed.

so just name a part you need and if i got it 20.00, or name 2 parts for 30.00.
