I did this drop by accident, I didn't know it was there and couldn't go back up the trail or around it so I had to go down one way or another. The drop put the bike at a serious nose down attitude and it was easily more than 45 degrees! I was unlucky in that I was alone on this ride, I was lucky in that I made it okay but I DON"T WANNA DO IT AGAIN by myself! Anyone wanna go with and try it?

This with the camera looking up. The bike is still angled pretty steep down the trail!

Looks pretty hairy to me, but I'd still give it a go.

Theres some guys on ATV Obsession that do nothing but rock climbing, these guys are friggin nuts, winches and ropes for every climb, pretty crazy to even watch, nevermind do it.

It was one of those downhill climbs that got my legs shaking pretty good after I got down. I stopped to take a break and the pictures just to get my nerves back online after that one, it was definitely worse than it looks, pictures don't show how difficult it really was.

If anyone wants to try it come on down to TN and I'll take you there. The rest of the trails are great too, and there are some awesome mountain top views as well.

I was through TN once several years back. It has some of the nicest country I can remember seeing. Kind of looks like home but the hills are a hell of a lot bigger.

Some of the back roads my uncle took us on looked kind of like that trail LOL

seeing trails like that....makes it almost worth it to reserve 1 weeks vacation just for TN:)

The trails here are fantastic! There is literally 10s of thousands of acres and hundreds and hundreds if not thousands of miles of trails. Now I'm talking all within 3-4 hours driving from where I live in the NE corner of TN. There's Brimstone, Windrock & Royal Blue in TN and then there's a great trail system starting in Harlan County in KY with trails going all the way to the VA state line. I know Va is supposed to have some great trails too, I just haven't been there to experience them yet.

If you want to take a weeks vacation its worth it, I'd be willing to help you locate these trails (all are on the internet) and lodging and if you can make a long weekend of it I'd meet up with you for a ride too. I feel pretty lucky living here, all I have to do is drive for 2 hours and I got days of riding at my disposal.

Anyone is always welcome to contact me for info about the area. I'll do the best I can to help you.

I got 27s on mine, a rubberdown lift and no snorkle. Its all I need here for my style of riding and I have tons of fun and I've never broke anything, well I have torn two CV boots. Does that count? :-)

Like your 2000 sportsman 500.That thing looks like it's in great shape for an almost 8 years old quad.

Pucker factor was definitely high! Pictures just don't do justice, whether its a tough run or how good (or bad) a machine looks. My machine is starting to show its age with plastic scratches and some wear. It will probably need new tie rod ends soon but it gets used. I don't want a show bike, I want it to take me places I've never been before! heheheh

Anyone wanting to ride with me should try and plan being here over a weekend since I just burned up my vacation time. It'll be awhile before I can take time off again during the week. But let me know, I'll do what I can to go!

Hey all, I just posted some links I've found to the trails in Eastern TN and KY. If you're interested in riding here I'm sure they'll get you even more interested. :becky:

I got a long one going down one of the trails that I'll post as soon as I get it into the computer. Looks pretty good on the camera, hopefully it'll come out as good in wmv format.

it looks a bit steep, but what would concern me are all those rocks, i would buy full skids if i rode that kind of terrian often.

The trails that PStock44 is talking about are just AWSOME! Evarts, KY is an ATV'ers paradise. THey have everything (well not sand dunes) that you could want to do down there and the best part......ITS ALL FREE!!!!!!!

PStock44, correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Harlan CO have like 20K acres of free ATV trails?

Trails range in difficulty from Easy to "your a idiot to try that trail"! The hardest trail they have is the "Widow Maker" and many people have had to be airlifted off that one.
