I have a friend looking for a windshield for his wifes 2007 420 rancher ES.
I can only find one to fit a FE/FM model. Is their any real difference in these bikes other than option packages?

Will the FE/FM parts fit the ES modle?

I dont think there would be for when mounting a windshield.

FE = Electric shift

FM = Manual shift (5spd)

Is that how it was written...TRX420FE / TRX420FM ? Thats how you could tell the difference on the 350's. They must have kept the same letter codes.

From a Honda site.
TM=two wheel drive manual
FM=manual
FE=electric shift
FA=auto
FGA=gps auto

Sorry, to answer your question, yes the windshield will fit your 'ES' model if the letters FE are in the product description.
