Thought of a new topic - favourite BBQ recipes
My wife & I love anything that Rob Rainford cooks (License to Grill)
Here is one that is OH so good - http://www.foodtv.ca/recipes/recipedetails.aspx?dishid=5372 (Creole Smoked Baby Back Ribs)
There must be others out there who has some good "smoke" recipes!! or maybe something that is good for the trail??

Heres a favorite of mine, but it aint for the guys or gals that try to NOT clog their arteries LOL.
Take about a 16 oz striploin steak and trim off all the fat. Take about 10 full strips of bacon and wrap that steak up like a mummy and use toothpicks along the edges to keep the bacon secure. Now all you should be able to see is bacon and toothpicks. Grill that thing on the bbq until its finished to your liking, I cut the middle to see if its done rare to med. rare and then eat that sum-bitch. The bacon will cause a lot of flaming on the grill so keep a squirt bottle filled with water near by. It will also stick to the steak pretty good once its almost finished cooking so the toothpicks can be pulled out when you take it off. Use a little PAM on the grill before you start to prevent it from sticking.

K, heres another good steak to do....
Get yourself a big ass t-bone, but its gotta be a t-bone with a big small side, you know how one side is smaller, well thats the best part so find one thats really big on that side. I perfer something in the 20 oz size range for a t-bone.
Next, get a cast iron skillet/frying pan, one of them old school heavy ass ones that could kill a cow if you hit it on the head, its got to be cast iron though. Next, get lots of crushed garlic, I use the kind you buy in the jar with oil. And lastly, a ton of real butter, get that butter and garlic hot in the pan and then cook the t-bone in the butter. I'm talkin enough butter and garlic to come half way up the sides of that damn steak. cook that steak flipping it as needed to get full butter and garlic penetration. If its a good steak, you can cut the small side with a fork, and the large side with a butter knife.
Again, HEART ATTACH ON A PLATE!!!!
Bon appetite ;)

Thats what its called, i couldnt for the life of me remember what it was actually called. Ya, its like the back straps on a deer, nothing but gooood!!!
We use the bbq almost every day, snow or summer, it dont matter.
We do all our veggies on the bbq also.
Put your brocoli, califlower, onions, mushrooms, carrots whatever, into some aluminum foil with butter and a little bit of salt and pepper and cook them on the grill too. Cant beet it for taste.

I saw one that got struck by lighting once LOL, it was pretty cooked... :D
Actually I used to do a lot of brock trout fishing, you know, the fishing vest, the chest waders, and the little country streams. One of the runs we used to fish was on the edge of a cow farmers pasture and he had a cow that he left to rot there that was hit by lightning. By the time I was introduced to this steam by the father-in-law, there was almost nothing left but some bones.

I can't take credit for this but we had them last night. It's called the inside out burger, I saw it on food networks show Diners, Drive ins, and Dives. Make some large thin hamburger patties 85-90% lean, seasoned however you normally would, then pile some shreaded cheddar and chopped cooked bacon on one patty and throw another patty right on top, try to seal the edges up the best you can. Now what you have is basically a giant stuffed burger, now throw that sum-bitch on the grill and cook it long and slow, I use hardwood charcoal and apple wood for smoke. Best burgers I ever had. The only problem we had was gettin the old pie hole open wide enough to eat these monsters.

we have had these burgers as well... only we used feta cheese, olives and oregano. Also used 25% ground lamb in the burger. Made it like a Greek burger!!

RD, any veggie wrapped in bacon and grilled on the BBQ is good. Try asparagus wrapped in bacon, drizzle with olive oil, and salt and pepper. GOOD!

I think you could cook a brick wrapped in bacon and it'll be good.

If you like things hot I git one for yall. Take some jalapeno peppers and split them down the sides and remove the seeds leaving them split but conected. Grill a couple of boneless chicken breasts and chop them into very small peices. Mix the chopped chicken with some softened creame cheese and a little pepper. Stuff the peppers with the cream cheese and bacon and wrap with bacon. Grill for about 35-40 minutes .
These things will light your ass on fire, but you just can't get enough of them. Make sure you got some beer to keep the fire down to a minimum.
