What, where do ya hunt, where and what kinda bow/firearms do ya use? I'll start:
Whitetail deer, 270 Win and 300WSM. Cant use my McPherson bow right now cause of a torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder. (makes riding my popo hard too) Mainly hunt Florida but have hunted Indiana before. Dream hunt would be out west like Colorado, Idaho, for Mule deer or Elk. :D

I have not been out for a couple of years for various reasons but when i do hunt its right here in my back yard. Well basically.
I hunt Whitetail deer & moose in the Burks Falls/Magnetawan Ontario area. Over the years i have used many different guns but right now i have a SKS full synthetic stock bla bla bla for deer & play.
For moose i also go up North to Sudbury Ont.
Before i hurt my shoulder i had a Browning A bolt .300 win mag. But i could not take the recoil on my dud shoulder so i now have a 303 British with syntetic stock & custom made fiber optic sights.

I hunt Whitetale with an Excaliber Pheonix crossbow right here in the city of Niagara Falls Canada. I havent killed anythhing with it in the 2 half asses seasons I've had it for though. Before the crossbow I used a Alpine compound bow and did okay with that on the white tails. I use a Remington model 700 30.06 bolt with a nice scope for moose season, but thats only been going on for about 4 or 5 years now and we have yet to get one in this group. We did get lucky enough to draw a bull tag this year so we are hoping this is the year. We do the moose hunting about 8 hours north of here in Kirkland Lake Ontario. We also keep a bear tag on hand incase we get lucky enough to see one of those too ;) While up north I also go for a few walks looking for the Partridge, for those, I use either my old single shot 20g, or I have 2 different 12g's to choose from, one is an older model 12 pump thats almost 100 years old and still shoots fantastic and the new one is a express supermag for up to the 3-1/2's for ducks, but that hasnt happened yet, and frankly, I dont think my shoulders could handle shooting those bigger loads all day long.

Funny stuff there Eric.

We hunt also but only dove season now. I would never miss opening day of dove season. It's a social event for us. Plenty of food, family and friends. I use a Winchester 20 guage. Four years ago I bought a Remington youth 20 guage for our oldest grandson who was 9 at the time. He shot his first bird at 10. The excitement in the 10 acre field that day was incredible. You could hear congrats coming from everywhere for him.

Thats awesome Barbara, he must have had a grin from ear to ear.

I tried to get my daughter to try skeet shooting this summer, it was my first time doing it and there was a bunch of us out there, my friends 12 year old son tried it and he had a lot of fun but my little devil of almost 11 at the time would not touch the shotgun. She was a little timid i think.

Alex has been going with us since he was 3. We started him out with a BB gun and set out cans for target practice. The first time he shot the shot gun, he wouldn't pick it back up for a year. Now he talks about opening day all year long and wants to look at his gun every time he comes over.

Ya, I have a pellet rifle with a little cheap scope on it, its all her's, she knows it's her's, she calls it the bird gun cuz I used to shoot a few birds with it when she was younger. I'll get her started with that this year and see how she likes it, then maybe the 20g instead of a big heavy 12g for her first real shot LOL.

Whitetail &Turkey
Matthews Switchback.
But Tonight I shot a doe with 00 Buckshot.
Heres the story,,,
My Uncle is in from Minn,so we have a little family reunion dinner at a nice resterunt. We place our orders and I check to see if I had any calls.
Well my GF calls and says theres a deer in the yard that got hit by a truck and its hurt and still alive.
I'm like what do you want me to do ,I'm at dinner?
Well I figure I could be home in 5-7 min's so I make the run.
I get home and she said she called the police already, the guy that hit it was still there with his wife.
The police around here would just let it die on it's own and I dident have time to wait so I grab the 870 rem and the spotlight.
Spot it ,shot it,threw the gun in the backseat and went back to dinner.
I walked in and they were just putting the salads on the table.
If I had more time I would have butchered it .
I'll take it across the street for the Coyotes tomorrow
