I'm having trouble shrinking the pics. Seems when I get them small enough to fit they are too small (thumbnails). I got a few good ones that I havn't seen yet. My bro took them when I was testing out my setup at a MudBog competition. I wasn't in the meet but they let me make a few passes when they were done and the hole was nasty. At one point there was 4 atvs floating around waiting for someone to get them out (deep and REALLY MUDDY). They had been running 4 atvs back to back for 4.5 hrs.

Copy the code that starts with (IMG) and ends with the same thing. Then paste where you type and you should have a pic come up when you post.
Hey Matt, what happened to the type 7s that you had with the 29.5s? They are a good looking wheel.
Cool pics!
I sold them to my cousin with the Swamplites on them. I hated to sell them since they had only been on two rides but I was hurting for money so I let them go. I hope to save up and someday get me some 28's of some sort on some ITP SS106's. I like the Mud Machine Bi/Tri Claws but they don't make them in a 28. My next set of tires will be 28's most definately. 29.5" was just too much for my Rincon to handle.

Hope you get to try it out soon. Mine is working out great! I want to put my laws on and really try it out but most of the holes are kinda dry around here and the added lift helps me get through the holes that most guys have trouble in even with the mudlites. I did get to try them out with the laws last week and with the laws and the new stance this thing was a beast compared to how it was before.

littlegrasshopper
09-17-2007, 08:09 PM
No but if I put the 27in laws on it I'm pretty sure it would. My mudlites run short 26 1/2in and the laws run about 27-27 1/2 so it would be real close. With me on it it likes about 1.5 on the rear. I put a bucket up to it when stock and thought there was no way it would clear a bucket without a gorilla lift.
I bet it would make it with those new 28in bugs that you got. How you like them?
I am not too happy with my Bugs. They are 28's and only measure 27" with 11 lbs of air in them. I'm just gonna run them though. I am tired of messing around with tires.LOL The guy said I could send them back but its too much hassle.

Thats weird, I've always heard that they run true or taller. I know my 26's are 26 1/4 in the front, 26" in the rear. I've heard from a few guys around here that the 27's are almost 29" tall with 10lbs of air, no idea if thats true or not though.

Rubberdown, I think I ran out of room for the rad. I've got the portable rad pressure washer I take with me when I ride, plus I added the fan override switch and temp gauge to keep a eye on the rad. If the temp goes up, I just have to find a creek to put the pump into to draw water.

12-16-2007, 04:27 PM
RD, if you got the room, go for it !! This way you should never have a overheating problem. Just make sure you keep the "Rubberdown" and not in the air.....could be costly to replace a crushed rad.
Rubberdown
12-16-2007, 04:34 PM
LOL, if I flip this thing over, I think the snorkels are going to kill me, so a new rad wont be an issue :D
Not only that, but I am slowly building up a spare parts box for stupid problems so when I do go away for rides, my whole week or weekend wont be ruined on the first day. I keep spare axles, a spare fan motor, lots of oil and filters, a clutch coming soon, a belt, and if I find a good deal on a spare rad, I'll snatch that up quick too, I got spare rimes and tires for all 4 corners, hell I need an extra trailer just for my spare shit ;)

Naw the 12's on the front are perfect. It is not that hard to steer at all. I do have 11 psi in the fronts though so that makes it easier to steer. The 12's in front really help with flotation though.

The fronts are pretty narrow but they are easy to steer. I put the 12s up front just to see how they would be and they were alot harder to steer than I thought plus they rubbed pretty bad. I thought the 10s on the front would dig too much they seem to float pretty good.

The fronts are pretty narrow but they are easy to steer. I put the 12s up front just to see how they would be and they were alot harder to steer than I thought plus they rubbed pretty bad. I thought the 10s on the front would dig too much they seem to float pretty good.
I notice you have the same tires pop500efi, do you like them?
ya i love mine. they float pretty good and go through anything. around here pretty much everyone has mudlights and i just walk all over them. i think they wear a little fast.

Those pictures are right after dropping it down from atv lift. It is about an 1 1/2" lower after riding it and even lower with my 220lbs. on it.
I wanted something different than the standard audio pipe so I built a 4 speaker unit.

It will just clear in the rear not on the front. My swamplites measure almost 28" so that helps.
I am thinking of putting 1" wheel spacers on now, has anyone else done this and will it cause any problems?

DCFox, because for the riding I do, I wanted more articulation. Unscientifically, I put a jack under one corner of my quad before and lifted until another tire came up, it was about 9.25", and after it was about 10.5". And I think it's silly to have IRS and have both sides stuck together.
dcfox
06-09-2008, 09:10 PM
Makes sense.
However...I bet it gets a little squirrelly at higher speeds.
I drove mine with the bar disconnected and didn't like the feel at all.But then my tires are quite a bit larger than yours and I have a 2 1/2" lift.
Pyre80
06-09-2008, 10:27 PM
i've ridden at 60kph across a field just fine, but i don't do much of that, and it still runs circles around a SRA 450. But you are right it's not as stable, Honda wanted a solid axle feel I imagine, but an extra 1-2" of travel is worth is to me. Anyone who rides it, I just say "don't turn at 60mph, and we're good"
littlegrasshopper
06-13-2008, 10:52 AM
I took mine off once and it actually worked better on climbing through ditches and over (or off of ) logs but on the trails with the lift it was kinda weird. Mine tops out at around 70mph now so I won't be taking mine off again!

06-17-2008, 04:59 PM

I have a 1 1/2" flex pipe that changes to 2" before it comes through the fender.
It works great on a stock motor bike.
However...I've added a K&N filter,jet kit,and HMF Utility pipe.
I think mine would work a little better if I switched the flex out to 2".
I'll be making this change pretty soon.
Still not lacking in the power dept. though...

dcfox
07-09-2008, 10:43 PM
Mine is a 2" pipe coming out of the airbox...then converts to 1 1/2" flex.
right underneath the fender...it transitions back to 2" pvc...then turns up with a elbow...and comes through the fender.
I'm going to switch the 1 1/2" flex out for a piece of 2"...as soon as I get some spare time.
It's running fine right now...but I think it could probably benefit from a little more air.

Thanks the rocks and sand in the creek made them start to chip two weeks old ! ITP told me to ship them back for repacements I'd pay shipping,No Way I'd told them last set I'll buy from you.So bored at the house one day I took a 80 grit sanding wheel looks like a buffing wheel and a elec. drill and that's what I came up with.

I see alot of you guys are running 27's on your rincons and was wondering with my RD Lift if 27's will fit without buying aftermarket offset rims? Oh and here is my rincon..

You should be fine with stock wheels and 27's. I ran 27" Vamps on my old Rincon on stockers with no lift.

Am I going to have any problems turning 27's? I was looking on maxxis website and it said that 27'' mudbugs are lighter than the 26'' so I dont think weight will be an issue just the size i guess. I dont have any mods done to the motor..

It really all depends on what kind of riding you do. If you ride in REALLY THICK mud then you will probably have some trouble turning them. The less aggressive of a tire you get is going to help though as will a lighter tire. It will be easier turning a 27" Mud Bug in thick stuff than a 27" Outlaw just as an example.
I had the TRD gear reduction, HMF pipe, jet kit, K&N air filter and a CDI box on my old Rincon and I had trouble turning 27" Outlaws in stuff like in the pic below. I did have 28X12 Mud Bugs all around my old bike before I sold it and it turned those pretty good in soupy mud. I never had them in really thick stuff though. Shoot me a PM if you need any more help with tires or any mods you might want to do to the Rincon.

Have you considered the Maxxis Zilla tires at all? I love mine and they are extremely light. If you are going to go with a 27 then the Zilla would be a great choice. Not trying to talk you into anything but just a thought. The Mud Bug is a great tire as well.

Im getting a good deal on bugs $100 CDN a tire installed for the 27'' but I do like the looks of the zillas and heard they do perform well.
