Well I bought the ss108 rims and they come with a offset of 4 + 3! Compared to a stock rims, are they more offset? Meaning that there is going to be more meat stick out of the side. :confused
UPDATED:
Did some research.... So the OEM rims are 5 + 2 (If that is true, they are only going to stick out one inch further than OEM! RIGHT??
The first number is the amount of inches that the wheel is offset toward the inside of the bike from where the rim mounts to the hub. The second number is the measurement in offset toward the outside. Put the two numbers together and you have the rim width.
So, if you compare a 5" IN and 2" OUT rim, it will be the same width as the 4-3, but the overall stance of the ATV will be two inches shorter because the 5-2 sticks out one inch less on each side than the 4-3.
^^^^ I need to read that again after another mug of coffee.

yeah, that's basically right. The one thing that isn't quite right is the OEM rims. OEM rims are a 4+2 I believe. I know they are only a 6" rim and the rears are an 8" rim.
The offset numbers are technically defined as the distance from the mounting surface to the bead, inside+outside. But you have the concept right, the larger the first number, the more inset the rim is.

I guess when you are the only one on the site at night, you tend to research and find that answer yourself. LOL But about the OEM rim, I have not been able to find the specs on it.

It is a good way to determine if you need wheel spacers or not. Typically you wont with offset rims. Depending on the bike and the tire, an inch is usually all of the additional clearence needed.

I hear ya on the spacers, but I ordered them just in case and I am looking for that wide look too!

Brian I went with 1.5" all the way around with my 108 wheels and 29.5" Laws. The front wasn't as bad as the rear, but I wanted to keep it even and I love the wide look, and also it's not as tippy feeling as before with the 2" lift on it.

Rebel, you got front and rear pictures of your wheeler! Also, what is the width of your tires?

12" wide in the rear, and 10" wide in the front.

Honestly, this topic always confuses the ever lovin shit out of me.
Maybe we can get a chart to show what all of them do, starting with an OEM spec and then each offset change with an explination of which way it moves the tire, in or out and how much LOL....
