I love these commands from my baby on the beach that I can't even hear.
Moral support at it's best for sure!! :)

looks like you picked a better line on the way back

Rebel64

Actually I think I just rutted certain areas of it out since that was like the 4th time I went across. The sand & mud was pretty sloppy. Still had a blast though, and I guess now I know the exhaust for the belt works just fine where it is.
Now I need to figure out if I should drill drain holes in the rear cargo box...that thing was filled up almost all the way with water and was a bitch to lift up and empty.

If you were going to put any drain holes back there I'd do something with a plug or valve rather than just drilling holes in it.

nice vid btw. maybe one of these days I'll be able to afford a lifted bike and then I can play along with you.

Rebel64
06-02-2008, 08:06 PM
Yeah I'm gonna look for some type a bit larger than the ones that go in the front box. Can't have water warming up the beer back there, but still would be nice to be able to drain it after a dunkin.

That's where I mounted the contactor for the winch. I wouldn't want that full of water. Wonder if I can seal it?

Rebel64
06-02-2008, 08:12 PM
I'm sure you could install it in some kind of small sealed box and still keep it back there.

Nah, you just need Desi on the sidelines yelling "you can do it, gas it, & wiggle it" and you'll be just fine on your bike!

Ah...Every time I go in there...I leave with a few extra stickers.
They don't seem to like the pressure washer very much.lol.
After this weekend...I need to go back.I think I only have one sticker left.lol.

Rebel64

David, I had a buddy cut me out a piece of sheet metal exactly 1/2" larger than the sticker, primed & painted it, applied the sticker, then went over it about 4 times with clear coat spray. It's holding up pretty good so far, but I try not to hit it directly with the pressure washer.
I did have their stickers on the front of my speaker tubes also, but those blew off while the bike was being towed on the trailer.

Rebel64

Your garage sounds like mine...a big black hole where stuff goes missing all the time!
But I'm good to go on stickers...Sue sent me a big stack of them when I bought a couple of tshirts and coozies.

You don't know the half of it. If Tara decides she doesn't want it in the house then it goes to the garage!! Anyway back to topic, wiggle it!!

harmonsbrute
06-03-2008, 06:20 PM
lol. my foreman is some times.... it wont even water wheelie

dcfox
06-03-2008, 06:55 PM
Want a tip to help it water wheelie a little easier?
You'll notice that there is a big open space under the front end.
If you have a winch...right below it.If not...there's an even bigger space.lol.
Deflate a basketball...wedge it in there...and inflate it.
That should give you just enough help to get the front end to come up in the water.

I thought about trying it with mine before I got the new tires...but with 28x12x12's on the front...I don't have any problem getting the front end to pop up.

harmonsbrute
06-03-2008, 07:05 PM
ya i dont know. i might try that... wats werid i can wheelie on ground any time

Rebel64
06-03-2008, 07:08 PM
How much air do you run in the front tires, and do you get the water level over the top of them?

harmonsbrute
06-03-2008, 07:26 PM
ya i was up to the botton of my lights in water. u saw that vid didnt u mark...
