Well ITP 589s & Outlaw MSTs come to mind. Both have good wear on hard surfaces & hold their own in the mud.
How big / aggressive are you thinking?

stay away from the swamplites. they will wear like hot butter on a hot stove if you put them on a rzr.
i like the mud bitches. (mudgear) they are some really nice tires. aggressive and not aggressive at the same time.
never had any 589's.
you might want to think about the mudzilla too. they are a very good mud tire that performs well on the trails.
as a side note. ive had my 29.5's for almost a year. i ride on pavement ALOT and on trails and gravel alot too. mine have not worn like people think they do. they do ride a little rough on pavement but only at speeds below 4-5 mph. other than that they ride fine. no bad vibrations or anything.

That Mudgear is a close Dirt Devil copy. Either of those should have a good long life on pavement.
Im putting a set of Mud MAchine Bi/Tri claws on my popo next week.
These things mud like a zilla but ride like a mud-lite & also are said to have a long tread life.

i would like to have the 29.5 x 10 outlaws but i heard they wear bad on hardpack or pavement...I also thought about the titans..i want like 29's cause that and the 2' lift i should have good ground clearance...So how does the titans do in the mud???How long will the laws last on pavement??How good is the msts in the mud???
So polaris 700 what you run on your fourwheeler now??

Rubberdown is running 27" titans as far as i know. You should ask him how they do in the mud.
BMDJMD is running msts. From what i have seen they do BUTTER than average in the mud for a trail tire.

i've got mud bitches and titan 589's and i love both of them... the titans have not shown much wear in a year and i have blasted down creek beds and been in deep mud with them and i can say for sure they are nice for a all around tire and like polaris700 said about his outlaws i think most mud tires do ride rough at low speeds but when i drive at speed on pavment they don't. but the biggest titans are 28's. thats what i'm fixing to get. here's a link to mud bitches....http://www.monsterpowersports.net/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2753_2866_65_66_69&zenid=8dabafb9db929b217e33cde121236b47

98frontier
08-25-2007, 05:51 PM
yep, the 27's are like 28's, but my 26's are a true 26 inches strange ! yeah, i guess 28's might be consitered a 29.

but still if you want the baddest looking tire my list goes like this:
1st : outlaw
2nd : mudbitches/mudzillas
3rd :super swamper edl's
i want outlaws but outlaws cost toooo much. rubberdown you should start making tires :pray2: make um out of aluminum ...yeah, big paddles i'm redneck enough to run um.

Well which one will last longer??? ZILLAS or outlaws or mst's???How are the MST's Going to do in the mud??
Riven
08-25-2007, 07:37 PM
I think Zillas will last longer just because the lugs ar 1.5" vs 1" on the MST. The MST will be a much smoother ride & from all that i have read they mud as well as the mudbugs do.
Her are 2 good reviews of the MST

The MST'S are loking better and better..I would love to run tem 29.5 outlaws but i want a smooth ride and a good pull so i think the mst's would fit my riding style better..So run the 28 x 9.50's up front and the 28 x 12 in the back???

So polaris 700 what you run on your fourwheeler now??
im running 29.5's 10 in front and 12 in rear.
those pictures are of my tires i took this morning. and thats after close to 800 miles on them. and thats 800 hard miles.
and no matter what your looking at, the outlaws will out do any of them in the mud.

Is that pavement miles or ??? How rough is the ride???

I saw what i thought was a slick looking tire tonight, a BI/TRI claw, those are some bad mouther's, one thing i can say for sure they will ride like a true mud tire.
And yes i believe that a good in between tire is the MST's, i have had the bugs, XTR's and now am riding on the MST. Do not regret it at all. they are 28x9.5x12 and 28x12x12. they measure true and perform awesome. HL did some great work making these tires for those who want a in between.

its a mixture of both. i ride alot of pavement and gravel trails and alot of hard packed dirt trails. i can say i bet those tires have atleast 60-80 miles of pavement riding on them.
the ride is fine once you get over 4-5 mph. they ride as good as any other tire ive ever used. the ride below 5 mph is a bit bumpy. not really bad but you know you have a aggressive mud tire and not a smooth trail tire.

the only problem with those is that they are not made in anything bigger than a 27"

So you were all the way down their to see them & you did not bring them back for me! LOL :suspicious::boxing:
Just kiddin.
I should have them mounted in lots of time for our ride on the weekend.
As soon as i get some time on them i will be sure & do a full review.
I really hope they ride smoother than they look.

I knew they would never fit in yor car.LOL
I was thinking that if i drove down by my self i could fill the car & trunk to bring them home. 1 in the trunk, 2 in the back seat & 1 in the front seat.
My company truck driver should be down in the middle of the week to pick them up for me. I dont really want to drive 8hrs just to pick them up but i will if they dont make it on to my truck!
So what was your first impression of them? Are they gonna stand out like i wanted them to?

I think i will buy me the outlaws....If i really dont liek them i knw i can always sale them and get the mst's....Ummm should i run 10's all the way around the rzr or 10 on the front 12 on the rear??This is a stock rzr as of right now but it wat be that way for long..

08-26-2007, 11:54 AM
PoPoRZR, i would think that the 12 rears are gonna be just fine, it seems to me that with as much power as you have you want as much tire to propel you forward.
Riven i "THINK" you will be more than happy with tire, you will defintely will have the most distinct tire around AND i think these will out do most tires around with maybe the exception of the outlaw, no not MST. i'm pretty sure from what i saw of them that you are going to walk holes that i myself will be stuck in. If it was me i would already have the tires in my posession, i cant wait at alll for new tires and stuff, i just get to excited. I hope i am able to get up and see you perform next weekend in kearney, if not i/we will have to plan a little riding.

Not a bad idea. Give the laws a try & then change up if your not happy with the ride.
10" all around might leave you with a bit more power to play with. If your full on mudding i would say 10 & 12.
You might have to use a spacer to run 10" on the front. most popo wont fit them without rims or spacers.
PoPoRZR
08-26-2007, 12:44 PM
Well the rzr dont have the front struts like the rest of the popos...It has ranger springs front and back....They give more clearance then the rest of the popo's we will see though...I think i will go witht he 10's all the way aroud it..

ive got the ITP 589s, 300miles on them, .... (150hardpack, 50 mud and prolly 100 on pavement) and they have minimal wear besides the sharpedges being gone..... they are argressive enough to make an identical 4wheeler with stock tires look bad in the swamp but yet they ride pretty good and handle/corner decent
