ran my first bog this weedend!!

i can see that to get real addicting. it was only like 12 bikes. it was open class, men, women, s x s, bikes, big, little, everyone against everyone. since there were only a few pople they did time runs. 1st heat rhino had fastest time, 20 secs. i had #2 at 22.03, and my buddy had #3 at 22.9. top 5 ran second heat rhino took a different line and he shouldn't have, my buddy riped through with a 17 sec. run, then i had him but at about mid track i hit something on my left side and turned me over. but ohh well. had a great time. didn't really care about winning the whole thing i just wanted to beat my buddy so i could say that the polaris beat his brute.

my first bog was a pretty big event held by our club. we had a ton of people and had to split up all classes (500 and down, 501 and up, outlaw "anything goes" and then the ironman run which is a 2 person/1 bike deal)

i finished 2nd in the 501 + class .06 seconds behind a guy in my club on a BF 750 and the next closest person behind me was over 6 seconds back. (should have paid to make a second pass)

finished 3rd in the outlaw class after i had one of my front axles pull out and had to do it in 3x4 after 1/2 track.

the ironman run was a mofo. NOBODY finished the course. me and my froend tied with 2 other bikes (4 people) in my club so we split the prize money 3 ways.

i had a blast, made some good cash and got some neat trophies but ill not do it again. i wanted to see what it was like and i did. but the wear and tear i put on my bike was not worth it. that ironman run took 3 years off the life of my bike. a busted rear boot, busted front boot, blown exhaust gasket, busted radiator, broken front rack and i had to replce the whole front axle where it was pulled out of the front diff. not to mention the mud had small rocks and sand in it and it chewed up the rear rims on my bike and ate the paint off the under side where the mud was acting like sandpaper. it also made the plastic all dull where it just rubbed all the newness off the bike.

from now on ill sit and watch and do what i do best..... take pictures.

i had my 1st bog last month for the 4th of july i won the heat but finished almost tied for 2nd here some pic
