My name is Jason I’m 33 I live in central Ontario. I have worked as a Machinist/welder for the past 13+ years.
I have been married for four years & have two kids. My stepson is 8 & my daughter is 3. They both have their own atvs, leaving my poor wife the only one without wheels.
Having two kids means I don’t get out ATVing nearly as much as I should.

Hello gang!
Some of you know me from a couple of other forums, but being this is my first post here I'll do the intro thang.

I'm Mark (or just Reb...whatever), living in Peoria Illinois, 42 yrs old, single, no kids except for the 2 cats and my best buddy Kaiser--German Shepherd Dog.
I work for Caterpillar in the Mapleton foundry making the molds that get poured for the 3600 series engine. Been there for 13 years now.
Almost bought an 07 HD FXSTC last September, but decided not to since riding season was just about over, so I got the quad instead (first one), and have been having a freakin BLAST on it ever since. I still want the Harley someday, but I've been totally focused on this new hobby, and can't imagine dividing my time with another toy just yet.

I know we can load the following file types, will one of these work, like maybe the zip files format?

Rubberdown you have a gps?

What I have is a Lowrance*urs* format

But I use GPSBabelGui to convert it to whatever format....on GPSexchange.com

the formats your talking about are pic formats....I don't know if it can be done...but I try playing around with it

Also during the trip I traced hardcopies of them .....and if you want I can scan the pages and send them to you....see if you like them.....

let me know

Clubin
09-05-2007, 06:13 PM
Yes, I was there yesterday and he had one installed on a 08 500X2 he thought the quality was superb, and the install was a snap, he did not have to grind the struts, and every thing appears to clear just fine, I ground mine, what was different with mine or didn I not need to grind them? He was very happy.

I have to get some of cd's boots, if they are as good as he says they are, my dealer will be buying some of them too. But I will try a set first.

Rubberdown
09-05-2007, 06:20 PM
Even though it may look fine, most machines will need the struts ground, but some for some unknown reason are okay without doing it. I sold a kit to 3 guys that all ride togehter, 1 of them is on the show with me and all of them left the struts alone but 1 guy just kept eating up boots in the front 1 after another. finally he ground down the struts and he is fine with no more boot issues. I dont get it, so i recommend ALWAYS grinding them down.

Rubberdown
09-05-2007, 06:21 PM
Oh ya, tell him that if I ever get my next run of bar ends done to expect a pair with his company name on them, I'm sure he will want some for his new machines once he sees a set on a machine with his name lasered on them ;)-

I'm Tim, I'm 25 and an engineer. I currently live in Illinois, but I'm actually from Minnesota. I grew up in the northwest corner, then later moved up right on the canadian border for about a year and a half.
My specific field is foundation braking systems, though my newest job is more hydraulic than brake systems. I welcome any brake questions anyone has.
I drive a 2007 Polaris X2 500 with about all the pure polaris accessories available including winch, fender protectors, brushguard, hand guards, hand/thumb warmers, windshields (I have a selection of them) rear box bag, mirrors, front Ranger springs, and I'm sure there's something else there.

Oh, yeah? I lived there (HHI) for 5yrs, being a "Beach-Bum" after the Air Force. Great place to live and work back then, now I couldn't handle it! TOO many people. If you are a single guy, it's like being at a buffet! The rentals are from Saturday to Saturday, so the "Weeklies" were constantly changing.....hence being at a buffet! :biggrin1:

Hi I'm Todd, I'm 24 and live in Bracebridge Ontario. I'm a licensed Auto Service Technician at the local Ford store. I've been workin on cars all my life. Been at the Ford store almost 6 years now. I've always been into sleds, but the winters are getting worse and worse so 4 years ago I traded the sled in on a Scambler. Loved it to death but it just wouldn't do the mud how I wanted. So last Christmas I bought an 07 SP 500 EFI. It's lifted, loud and goes just about anywhere. I'm lovin it

Theres a pretty good section of crown land between HW118 and 117. It goes all the way from Vancoughnet to hw 35. It crosses on to some of the Haliburton Atv Trails as well. That's where I spend 95% of my time. I camp in there every long weekend as well. You can ride all day and not touch the same trail. If you ever want to meet up for a ride after hunting season let me know.

No. The HATV trails are still on Crown land, so where it's crown it's a free pass. And I've never seen a Warden even on the Non-Crown land lol I don't think they enforce it nearly as much as the OFSC.

Hi. My name is Bob. 51 is just around the corner so you can call me gramps or old man (like everyone at work) or I answer to Bob too. I've been an electronics tech for most of my life and got back into aviation about 5 years ago. Originally from Colorado and then spent 18 years in Dallas, Texas. Presently living in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Work on the V-22 Tiltrotor aircraft at New River Marine Air Station. I also teach avionics maintenance as well. I'm new to ATVs. Used to spend all my money on Motorcycles and Ultralights. This seems safer although my girlfriend might disagree. Love doing wheelies and hate washin the damn thing off. First mud puddle I went thru at Busco Beach was the last (I got 1 bike length). Had to ride home with grit in my underwear. Aaaahhhh, the memories!

Having two kids means I don’t get out ATVing nearly as much as I should.
