Those look good. You will have to post pics when you get them mounted on.

I wanted those when we got the new Grizzlys, but getting anything 2 weeks before Mud Nats was impossible. Mudzilla was the only tire we could get shipped in time.

You will love those tires. I have a few buds who run them and like them better than Zillas, more bite in reverse they say. They look awesome too!

Riven, Like was mentioned, you will LOVE those tires man, they will ride just as good as your stock tires did and pull like crazy in the mud. Here is a pic of mine with the Bi/tri Claws on it. Here is a pic of it before the RD lift, with just a cheapo 1 1/2" lift and the Claws.

Ahe here is a pic of them mounted on my wife's bike. This was before we snorkeled her bike and put 28" Outlaws on it. Nosed up next to my bike with the 3" RD lift and 28" Outlaws. Her bike is the red one with no lift and the Bi/Tri Claws on it.

Dirtbmw20 Do the Bi's widen out a bit after you air them up?
Right now the Bi's measure only 8.5" wide at best but the Tri's come in at 13+" wide.

what is the tallest them bi/tris come???

Dirtbmw20
08-29-2007, 09:25 PM
Riven, not really. I never measured the width of mine but they always looked narrow on the fronts, it never was a problem either, it just always LOOKED narrow, I just thought maybe it was because the rears were so fat, but they might widen up to true spec but you probally won't notice it with the eye.

PoPoRZR, the biggest the Claws come in are 27" but they usually measure a tad tall like 27 1/2

Man those are a mean looking tire. Only if they came in a 28 I would be all over them. All my mud holes are to deep now for my 27's:bounce:

get the mud bitches then. they come in 27's but measure over 28" tall.

heres a set of mud bitches (on the left on a H1 arctic cat) next to a set of 29.5 swamplites (on the right on a 700 KQ)

Well I got them mounted & installed today.
My first impressions...
The fronts are way thin to be called a 9.75" tire. My 10" mud lites stick out 1"+ on each side on my T7 rims, The Bi's are almost flush. They look wicked. I kinda like the narrow look. I will just have to be a bit more cautious around the rocks now.

I have only drove about 100' on them from the shed to the house & back but it easy to tell they are rougher at low speed than the lites were but when I gave it a little shot of gas the smoothed out to what the lites are like.
It seams impossible but they really do ride smooth at speeds over 10mph

Congrats there Riven, glad they are as good as you hoped, i thought the same thing about the width when i saw them last saturday. have fun in Kearney, there will be another ride planned up there prolly in late september or early oct, as the "guy" you got the tires from would like to try it out up there i said thats a good plan. maybe we can get a 10-15 bike ride together. And funny now i am already considering another new set of rims and tires for the grizz, but something a little mroe aggressive and able in the mud.

I’m good for another ride this fall bmdjmd

From what little I have rode on these tires I can tell they are going to KILL in the mud compared to my mud lites.

Just a short review to start.

Paved Roads. At low speeds they are about as rough as they look they should ride but the amazing thing is at 10-15mph the smooth out & its just like I am riding on my Mud lites again.

Grass & hard trails. The rear Tri claws do not hook up as much as the lites did. Either on the lawn or on hard clay or dirt trails. The rear end is easy to throw around & it feels very light & wants to walk a bit it you hammer the gas.

Sand. I spent a bit of time in a local pit that is all beach sand. The Tri's still like to float around a bit. Its like they don’t want to hold a 100% straight line. Its only minor but was enough to notice over the lites. They like to throw the sand like a dune tire would & they don’t dig at all but they are an easy match or better than the ITPs in 2x4.
In 4x4 in the sand HOLD ON. The front BI's will dig & pull & claw like nothing I have tried before.
The one hill I tried was about 45* & 50' long. In 4x4 low I could actually sit right at the bottom pin the throttle & the bike would literally tear the hill down to get to the top. The mud lites would only make it about 70% of the way up this same hill & they would dig down to the rim very quickly, the Bi/Tri's never dug more than 4.5" into the sand.

I have not had any time in the mud but I will this weekend & I will report back then.

Ps the Bi's pull so hard they almost pulled the bars out of my hands one time when I hit the gas while turning in the sand. I cant believe how much the hook up.

I am VERY HAPPY with them so far.

I took some pics of them mounted on the bike before I rode.

I love the ride of MST's dont get me wrong, infact i will be looking to go to 27's and then get some 29.5's or something like that also, the 28's are the perfect size if you are the type to not switch out tires for different riding and shit. i want to be able to bog and then switch out for some AWESOME trail tires, the MST's meet this requirement perfect BUT will be outdone im sure by some Bi/Tri's or laws or zilla's ...etc...etc.I wouldnt hesitate to recommend these to any one just got to remember they are for all purpose riding not straight out boggin'.

They should be good for creek riding huh???I'm using mud lites right now..An do fine with the ride i just want a lil more aggressive then mud lites but not full blown MUD TIRE...No Zilla no LAw.....So is the mst's going to my tire??

Brian The paint is Rustoleum metalic blue from Home depot. It also has a few layrs of clear on it as the blue does not have a very high gloss finish.

I will highly recommend the Bi/Tri combo if you don’t mind running 27" tires.
Have a look at my review of them; it might help you out with your decision-making

thanks for the tip on the paint there Jay, i need some for my need temp guage and pod.

PoPorzr, i would recommend the MST's. from what you are saying. The biggest problem is that in 28" tires there just isnt that many tires to choose from. Trust me i looked.

run the 27" mud bitches.

they run REALLY big and they measure up to about the same thing as a 28" mudzilla.

but if your stuck on the mst's. go on ebay and look up swamp witch. they are the EXACT same tire made by somebody else at a hell of a lot cheaper price.

i ran 27x12x12 all the way around my 03 700 for a long time. i paid like 115.00 per pair shipped to my house.

I wont tell you how much they cost me but i can tell you that after 6 months of Q & A back & forth from 8 different dealers in the US bmdjmd still got me a better deal.
One of those dealers was going to pay 1/2 the shipping as well.

where you located, just out of curiosity??

And for any americans much better for you too buy from someone near you, this is a cost effective way for us to get tires that would otherwise be unavailable to us in canada, but i know that there are many american shops that will make this sale to you better than i can help with.

My friend just put the Bi claw/Tri claws on his 2007 Polaris 500 efi. He is real happy with the performance and from what I saw this weekend they are great in the mud. I you don't want to order them online, go to Ballard's tire in Opp, Alabama and order them. That is were my friend got his.
