I like and dislike my Dodge, its a 5 speed stick so it should pull great but I can never get it into 5th on the HWY, it just losses speed right away. It gurgles like a diesel some times too unless I put the premium gas in her. My buddy has a big dodge 2500 4x4 diesel with like 300,000+ KM's on it and it still runs like a champ, so I was sorta leaning towards that next but I hear the new duramax is good also.

keeping on the diesel thing dodge rates the cummin's to 350,000 miles before rebuild BUT cummins is saying its closer to 500,000. SO give me a Ford chassie and cummins engine and a allison tranny. NOW that would be one badass truck.

The Duramax is great when it is working. We use to go through injectors like they were candy though and Chevy didn't stock them, they had to be drop shipped straight from the vendor and it use to take upwards of two weeks to get a set of injectors in. Try telling your customer that he has to do without his work truck for two weeks, some of these guys live by their truck and it can't be down for days at a time, I've been gone from Chevy for over 3 years now, I don't know if it's gotten any better yet or not. Same goes for the Allison tranny. When something happened with it, the parts had to come straight from Allison and it took weeks to get parts for them. I'll take a Dodge if it's a diesel, if it's a gas motor, then I'll take a Chevy.

I drive a ford for work. I sure wouldnt make monthly payments on one. I'm a Dodge man. My next truck will be either a 3/4 ton Dodge deisel.
I've owned two F-150's and 3 Rangers over a 15 year period.I am currenty driving a newer Ranger Edge.I'm wanting a full size 4X4 as my next truck and i'm really leaning towrds a Dodge,we have several new ones here at the college where I work and I'm liking them.

I've got a 99 chevy 2500 with a gas motor and have loved it the entire time. The gas mileage sucks (12) but it now has 190,000 miles and still will out run every ford (gas) that I've found. I've done a few things to make it better but tnothing special. I've benn thinking about getting a diesel but will probably get another 2500 gas model. Seven years and hardly any problems with 190,000 miles and its hard to change now. I've owned 4 fords and they were nice but over time they lost alot of power that they really didn't have much to start off with.
A friend has a dodge(gas) and its nice but 190,000 miles and the old chevy can still spank that tail! My vote goes to CHEVY!

Nice loooking truck...
I'm all chevy my blazer I had made it to 240,000 approx strong until I made it a spare vehicle then my sister and dad kinda killed it and it was rusting out so bad I junked it. my ZR2 S10 I have now it just a nice little truck, all my buds have diesels and fullsize but most of the time I tow more and haul more than them and still get by and the 4.3 is a great motor.
