I think that my air intake snorkel is actually pulling a vacuum on my air box.
When i pull it on the trailer it will flood unless I turn the gas off, so that tells me it is pulling gas thru the system. I think it is doiing the same thing when I ride it , and that is why the perf. has decreased. Has anybody ever heard of anything like this happening?

Yes my rincon used to fill the airbox with fuel on the trailer but not while riding. I just stuffed a rag in the snorkel while trailering.

What up!!! Bout time you got on here Mike!!

And my popo used to do it, I went and got some caps for them at lowes and took them on and off... They got different kinds and all. Mine still did it even with the gas off... That vaccuum is a pretty strong one man with all that airflow.

My honda foreman did that 4 years ago we put a 90 on it and cleaned carb and it stopped the problem mine was very hard to crank and smell of gas very strong

a freind of mine does the same thing, if he has got to trailer it a long ways he will cover it. That fixed it as far as i know

yes snorkel mess with intakes flow, when your riding your engine has to work harder to breath air in, as the intake track is longer and has less air flow.

then your atv is on the trailer, when your driving the air pressure makes a neg vaccum as the air flowing past the intake pull air out of the air box.

I removed my snorkles as there made jetting a pain and it lost power. with my oem snorkle cut and a hose put on it to extend it up under the body near the stearing stem works great. more air flow and better power. with a higher intake waterline.
