I'm going to start tearing into my front end this week. This will be my first lift intallation so please wish me luck.I'm going to do my best to snap pictures as I do the project and then I will post then as soon as I can.I know for some of you folks this is a very easy install but this going to my first and i'm a bit nervous.I've had the lift since July and am just now getting to installing it...yes I know "no excuses" just get it installed.

Any advice or tips are always welcome.

make sure you have a buddy or someone to help you compress the front end when re-installing the struts into the cartridge.

Yea, it helps to have a buddy but I did mine all by myself, my wife is my best buddy and I didn't feel like fighting with her that night so I tackeled it myself, lol. If by yourself, then a floorjack will help, hell, even if you have a buddy helping a floorjack will still be helpful. I just put the floorjack under the strut to compress it back up. It's easier than you think, don't let it intimidate you.

I own a floorjack and a pair of jack stands.I will most likley end up doing it by myself with the floorjack to compress things back up.I've gotta borrow the grinder from work so I can grind down the strut towers.I know some folks get away without grinding the strut towers down but I dont wanna push my luck. Thanks for the tips so far.

make sure you put some silicon or something on the strut plugs when you dropthem into place to keep the angle on them lined up with the angle you gring onto the struts.
Also, use the floor jack to compress it like Lee said, but you will need to have someone lean on the front rack to help otherwise you will just lift up the quad. Get your head down inside there and make sure that strut is fully bottomed out on the strut plug then tighten 1 bolt up and you should be good to let off the floor jack at that point.

Ok got it.Thanks for all the helpful advice,my co-worker is gonna help me out with getiing things compressed properly as well as set me up with a grinder to use on the strut towers.I'm going to start taking it apart this afternoon and while i'm at it i'm going to take the front box off and clean the radiator of any mud and debris.I'll take pictures as I go along and post them as I go.
