I went out there twice last year. One time with Tim. There isn't hardly any mud and there is a speed limit. There is a portion of farm riding over cattle fences and some hill rididing through some real pretty areas.

Hell I'm a city boy with no experience in things like that!!
But no Ed, we're already planning on going to Ruffcorns that weekend.
Might be our last ride for a while since I'm working a lot of weekends and trying to save up for that 2nd quad.

Thats cool. You do realize a trail ride like this would better your chances of not breaking another axle. You two will be missed.

That's a good point! But if I'm going to do any trail riding, then a spare set of tires/wheels is in order.
Next year we'll make it up there bro.

Mark, I've got a set of 489's on rims sitting around right now. Good trail tire, sucky in mud.

been there, didnt really care for it...like riding on narrow dusty gravel road with trees on both sides and not much scenery. But it could just be me, or the time of year we were there. I would like to ride farther north in wisc. .... never been but heard it's beautiful in the fall

25" actually. I have a set of 26" PXTs sitting around as well, but they're not on rims. Oh, and I have a set of 26" ag tires on 14" rims too...
that's besides my 27" mudzillas and 27" big horns.

Quick trip report. We started out around 11 or so Saturday morning on the Cheese Country Trails out of Monroe, WI. We got to Darlington, which is about 30 miles, where we gassed up and got some lunch. Then we hit the Fayette trails, which started out as a lot of farm land, along the edge of corn fields and through cattle pastures. I scared a calf, and drove by some horses that didn't care, then we got to an area of trails which was just paved roads. We hit the gas and had some fun at high speed, but somehow the trail disappeared so we turned around and found our way back to Darlington, where we ate dinner and gassed up again. I was having some trouble with my bike, for some reason it was dying when I let it drop to an idle at a stop. Haven't figured that out yet, but hopefully I'll figure it out.
Anyway, we headed back to Monroe after dark, where I found that my HIDs are awesome. They were bright enough that if I was trailing behind Ed he could use my headlights to drive by. My stereo worked well the entire ride as well. We made a total of just over 130 miles on Saturday.
We were a little tired when we got back, so we spent a bit in the hot tub. Sunday we got up and decided that because of the rain and Lisa's poor cold tolerance we would skip that day.
Overall it was an awesome ride as usual. I only took a few pics, but Ed has some which he can post.
