After seeing some of ya'lls I'm not sure I want to post mine.
My old truck and new truck, both one in the same.
Did the lowered thing, liked it for a while, but 100+ mph speeding tickets get expensive fast so I decided to lift it and slow my butt down.
Right now I have a 3" Fabtech lift but will soon be going another 3" with spindles, and throw a nice set of wheels and 31's on it.

I run a full floating corperate 14 bolt with a lock-rite and 4.10 gears. The tranny is a turbo-400 with a reversed manual valve body and a trans brake, right now the converter stalls about 3200 but that's a little hairy to street drive I want to swap it with one that will stall around 2600 this winter.

As of right now all mine has is a 292 I-6, we're either gonna put a cam in it and a header and Offenhausser dual 1 bbl intake, for the original factor, or we might put in a 350 with a cam and 11:1 or 12:1 comp, and then throw an auto tranny in it. I'm kinda leaning for the 350 or maybe a 540:madgrin:
College has just got me slowed down on it due to lack of funds.

I've driven a few at work. They're alright, stronger than a Hemi for sure and about even with a Vortec Max 6.0, Ford really doesn't have a comparable gas engine. I would say the big question with the new Toy is if the transmissions will be able to take any abuse, the older Tacomas with the 4.7 is a good money maker for me, they eat up trannys all the time.

Well Matt, I have this idea of some 22 inch rims on some 37 inch Nitto Grapplers! So I will pick out the tire size and then build the lift around them. The wife is only 5'-2" and can go that BIG, she wants to drive it. The Dodge was to big for her to even get in. The funny thing about it is, she is wanting to lift the Ford. So I am all for this... lol

I know most of you guys are into 4x4s, but i had one and just had no use for it. So this one is going the other way. Have some lowering springs on order to drop the rearend a little more level instead of the 4" rake it has now. Probably end up dropping it more over the winter, but just a bunch of small bolt-on mods for now.

For sure. My dad has basically the same truck, but a suburban. We hauled an equipment trailer with my Monte Carlo on it (almost 7000 lbs combined) and she pulled like a dream. Thats the main reason i got the itch for a new truck. My old truck was having problems just getting up to Doe lake last fall and that was just with the single trailer with 1 quad.

Here she is. My 03' Silverado HD. Durmax/Allison. Tows 12,000 pounds pretty well, rides like a dream, does the 1/4 miles in 11.96 seconds and spins the dyno at 606hp and 1243 ft pounds. All of that and it still gets 22mpg on a trip without a trailer.

Nice truck Underdog, got to love that turbo deisel torque, are you using a OBD tuner or has the pcm been reburned to make all that power. 11.96 sure is hustling for 6000+ pound truck, do you launch it in 4WD? I can't get my 1 ton to hook at all, just too much leaf spring back there to get any weight transfer. Even with 14.5" slicks i'm still spinning past the 330' mark.

Tunning is done with EFI Live and my laptop. 10psi boosted launch in 4x4 and it doesn't spin a tire. 15psi boosted launch and it puts on quit a smoke show. Truck makes max torque at 2050 rpm's so the launch can be tricky. 6450 pounds with out my fat ass in it. It's hard to explain to people what a 1.56 second 60' time feals like.
It has been alot of fun so far. Bought it bone stock in january of 08 and had it just the way it sits by september.

LOL, yea 1.56 is a pretty crazy 60 foot for a truck. My best 60 foot is 2.42 :frusty: I always hear the "sandbagger" comments when people see me run a12.40 @ 126 mph, they just don't get that I'm loosing 1.5-2 seconds to wheelspin. Do you leave in it 4WD for the whole pass or do you kick it out at half track like all the Dodge guys? You said you leave on 10 pounds, how much boost do you feed her once she gets hooked up? Sorry for all the questions but all the deisel guys I know have the typical "Bully Dogged" powerstrokes that sound amazing but don't really perform that well.

LMFAO, bully dogged powerstroke. Bully bag is what we call them. I leave it in 4x4. It gets put to the matt when it leaves the line. 44psi is the max boost right now. 126mph is pretty retarded for a 12.4. There's alot left in that thing if you could get it to hook. I tried it in 2wd once and it smoked the hell out of the tires. I knew it was a crap run so I put on a show for all of thoes that paied money to watch. Nothing like tire smoke to half track to make people happy.

that truck has a lot of body work done to it. I wished i would have took some pics of the body before he started. the bed is actually three different beds to make that one. alot of welding and filler to make it look that nice. make no mistakes about it though he built it to beat it. it is a shame though because it is a nice truck. it is actually a 80's style frame that a 70's style body is sitting on. it is sort of a bastard child. a little bit of everything. actually has parts from about 4 different trucks in it also.

You guys drive to the dealer to get your trucks? I was sitting here one saturday night getting pretty well tuned and decided I needed to own a diesel pickup. Found on at a dealer about an hour from my house that had one I liked and I sent them my contact info. Guy called me monday morning and I asked them to bring the truck to me so I could look at it. Tuesday morning about 9:00am he showed up with it. Drove it about 4 miles and asked him how he was getting home because he wasn't driving my truck.

Yank the toolbox and put a piece of angle iron on the front bed rail to protect it.Then put some kind of stop to keep the front of the Popo off of the back glass.you'll even be able to close the tailgate.of course...if you ever install aftermarket tires/wheels...all bets are off on it fitting in the back of the truck(width wise).

Finally getting to the point that i have money to actually build one, now just gotta find a bus. Froogle was talking about building one too, i'm sure he'd love some more pics as well! That's cool.I've been thinking of doing something similar...but just putting a roll up door and fold down ramp on the back.I'd just be using it to haul ATV's and to sleep in.
I thought about taking all but a couple rows of seats out and installing some fold down bunks.I also thought about a roll up awning on one side...and a flat deck on the roof with a ladder going up to it.
Questions...what kind of width do you have inside of a school bus(side window to side window),and what's the height from the floor to roof on a standard bus?I know yours has been raised.

Nice duramax, and a damn nice camaro Silverz. That loast pic looks familiar, you on ls1tech? And yeah Mike, dt466 is the way im going as well. Talked to a few customers of mine a few months back and they had a few 96-97's for between $3000-5000. The only thing that is keeping me from grabbing one is the fact that i dont want everything to go for a shit while its parked in the driveway for a year or so (probably alot more) while i'm going through it and doing everything. Wait until i have some more time!
Oh, and i think a short bus would be a little too short (way too short for me), unless you just want to haul the quads and then sleep in it while its empty. I want to be able to live in the front and still have a car or quads or a pile of wheels in the back.

Great looking Camaro man. I wouldn't worry about the 150 shot at all, the LS motors handle spray really well. I've got a customer thats been through a few dozen bottle refills on a stock Z06 and he's shooting it 200 dry, when I first set him up with it I was a little nervouse it might melt down being all stock but after the abuse he's thrown it in the past couple years I'm a believer. Unless of corse it's the drivetrain your worried about, I'm assuming since you've seen the 10's the factory rear is long gone. Is it a T56 or 4L60?

Dammit, you got my bus! I have been talking about building that thing for like 10 years. I actually followed you up Hwy 56 heading out to cayuga a few years back, still have a few pics on my old cellphone. Any pics of the interior (both front and back?). Finally getting to the point that i have money to actually build one, now just gotta find a bus. Froogle was talking about building one too, i'm sure he'd love some more pics as well! What powertrain and what kind of mileage do you get?
"DAMB STRAIGHT DUDE!" But I want one that already has bud wheels on it, so I don't have to convert it over[save a little bread]. I've already got 6 aluminum bud's, chrome caps, nut covers. I do the vinyl graffics/lettering on the local school company, so when the right one comes along...I'm in. The five mechanics that work there are going to let me know which one has the best track record.........ya still never know. The owner was sellin' them off at $2000-$2500 for a 10/11 year old bus. I've got a plethora of wacky ideas, lmao! I also work for a trucking company that has a ton of scrap rigs with heated stainless mirrors and chrome this and that.......BLING MAN! LOL.
My biggest problem was, what the HE77! do I do and put it when it's not in use? Turns out Badmaners brothers house has a spot, lol.

na the 150 dont bother me at all, lol iv prayed many a bottle with 200shot on the street. it fun going down the road hit it in 4th and watch black marks tail ya in the side veiw. iv been sprying mine for over 4 years at track i all ways use 75shot cause it hooks best, on a drag radel, im sure it hook with a slick but around here only let ya run 1/8th mile with full slick. the car is a T56 build with cartek clutch custom chrommoly drive shaft and a ford 9in rear with 4.11s, and a spool, and a chasie mounted tq arm lca reloctaon brks and spoon lca adj

Scott, super singles looks awsome, freakin' huge tire. Apparently not a great idea on a single axle for blow out reasons. That's the route I wanted to go. The tires are big money and mobile tire guys don't normally have one on there truck. Have been looking into this for a while, lol.

Hate to say it but I was born in Brampton. Lived there for 30 years LOL. Too many new Canadians now.
For you school bus guys try a search for a site called http://www.skoolie.net/ or something like that. All kinds of conversions out there. I've done a fair bit of research on the topic. And Froog is right about the super singles. Not even sure if it's legal on a single axle. Blow out would be bad...

Lets get back on topic here guys.....School buses!
Questions...what kind of width do you have inside of a school bus(side window to side window),and what's the height from the floor to roof on a standard bus?I know yours has been raised.
Finally had time to measure one up today. 1998 GMC/Bluebird 72 pass. Interior width = 7' 7". Interior height = 6' 2". Length from back door to the back of the drivers seat = 29'. Short bus is the same except length.
