Guys & Gals
Looking for pictures of your honda Rincon's with a snorkel installed.
I just got done with mine a few hours ago.
It was my first one, and i did No research at all.
It turned out quite nice for what i did.
It has its weak spots that need to be gone over.
I still need to run all my breather lines to it.
When i get around to doing that, i'll have a new
snorkel set up in there.
Ive got enough flex hose and PVC pipe to do atleast 5 more bikes.
haha
So please
Post your pictures, installation pictures or pictures of how it is routed are also welcome and much needed!
Thanks a bunch guys!
Here's my set up at the moment.
I refuse to post any other pictures of it
I'll be too embarrassed im afraid. :ohwell:

Thanks!
That helped out quite a bit.
What type of hose is that?
Looks like sewer line for a RV or something
850PoPo
10-25-2008, 12:09 AM
Yea its hose the use for hot tub's and swimming pool's went with it cause it fits perfect into 1 1/2 PVC you can even use the all purpose glue that hold's PVC togather.Come out the air box with 2 inch the used a reducer to go with 1 1/2 the rest of the way to rack's.Then rubber boot's to in sure no break in case of a roll over. The black hose is 1 1/2 also its from NAPA auto parts Good Year radator hose.

I'll get some pictures up later.

Thanks!

10-25-2008, 07:48 PM
Well now that you have two holes might as well run a set up like mine. BTW why did you move yours to the right?
MudWild680
10-25-2008, 08:27 PM
I now have 2 holes, but they are in 2 different spots.
One is behind the rack closer to my handle bars and the new on on the right side is inside that square in the rack, further forwards.
Moved it further forwards so i can raise the snorkel up a bit further.
Moved it because i had my hose running across the top of my exhaust pipe.
I didnt discover that i could run the hose on the left side the way i did on the right side(same as you)
So, either i buy a new fender to make both holes even, or just leave the hole on the left, put some white tape over it or something. Or re drill the hole on the left further forwards and run 2.
But here's the new set up-

Hell yea thats tall !! Is that 2 inch pipe?
njrincon
10-26-2008, 09:43 PM
on my 07 rincon i ran two snorks right from the box,one from the stock snorkel, and one from the lid,i cut 1 1\2 hole in the lid used a street 90 then cut a couplin in half and glued it on bottom(inside the airbox)ran two 1 2\2 flex pipes to the racks, then 2 inch abs from there.it made a big difference in throttle response with two

Yeah, it's gotta be the IMG code, on matt's computer if he copy and paste it, it adds too many prefix on it... So he just types it in.... But yeah, the IMG code is the one you want to put in.
LOL I know that is not the best explanation, but I just woke up... lol need coffee or cola or something!

10-29-2008, 06:40 PM
When you remove your air box lid the hose will flex enough not to break seals? Did you use PVC glue

Are ya' matt??? Coo man. It does look good and is a true 2 you know? That is kinda what I was saying about the 2 into 1.. Your losing flow like that... it'll only flow as big as your SMALLEST point...
850PoPo
10-29-2008, 07:07 PM
Yes that's right I'll get it the way I want it soon or later hardest part is done at least,up by the racks that is!
torkmonster
10-29-2008, 08:35 PM
Yeah no doubt.. I think it is a good setup the way it is matt.. But yeah, the whole point is to do it the way YOU want it.... I messed up and went with what my dad thought best on the popo and you can see it is back stock *for now* lol He had a good idea, it just didnt work out!! and on that air hungry thing, I NEVER got the CARB right!!!
ok BACK TO TOPIC!!!
njrincon
10-30-2008, 08:24 PM
on the air box side I used a street 90 going in and cut a couplin in half on bottom, pvc cleaner and glue , then rtv silicone around top and bottom @ fittings, plenty of flex to remove lid and clean filter, also rtv around lid gasket, pain in the
ass to get off but worth it alot of payments left lol

10-30-2008, 08:53 PM

Hi lads, I've got Rincon 680 and recently had a snorkel installed (custom made - not original). Engine runs nice on idle, but I feel loss of power on higher rev, especially going bacwards. Whats wrong? Too much air? Bore is about 8-9 centimetres.
Computer error?
850PoPo
11-03-2008, 12:41 PM
How big are your snorkel
Kurmis
11-03-2008, 12:50 PM
1.2 - 1.4 meter long and some 8cm diameter
850PoPo
11-03-2008, 12:52 PM
Sorry what the inches
badmaners
11-03-2008, 02:15 PM
80mm[8cm] Divided by 25.4= aprox 3.14 inches. Wow big tube! 1.4 meters is 1400mm divided by 25.4= aprox 55 inches.
Is that 8cm the outside or inside diameter?
850PoPo
11-03-2008, 02:30 PM
No kidding a bit large. Try 2 inch maybe or put a reducer on what you got.I ran dual 1 1/2 inch tubes to box it works very well for me. It's total of 3 inch but I have more distance on my snorkels
badmaners
11-03-2008, 02:53 PM
2 x 1 1/2 does not equal a 3 LOL.
1 1/2 area is 1313 sq mm.
So 2 x 1313 + 2626 sq mm.
3 inch area is 4769 sq mm.
As you can see the 3 inch is almost twice the area of 2pc 1 1/2 inchers .
Sorry about the metric LOL.
Of course it,s still dependant on outside or inside diameter. Ie: wall thickness etc.
850PoPo
11-03-2008, 02:57 PM
WTF to much, that flew over my head. OMG let me try to read that couple more times! LOL

How about...2pc inch and a half pipes is almost half the area of one 3 inch pipe.
There was another Halloween thread that explains pi. Remember the 3.14 thingy

badmaners
11-03-2008, 03:53 PM
yep 2 inch and a half pipes have alot less area [cross section] then a single 3 inch like Kurmis was asking back a page or 2. I think his has too much air but what do I know LOL. I just use a boat for water LOL.

11-03-2008, 04:05 PM
Like I said I don't do the snorkel thing but if your 2 pipes work for you then great. It's the other guys 8cm or 3 inch pipe that's the problem. Also have to take into accout the amount of bends and length of pipe. This all has an effect on CFM or cubic feet a minute that can pass down a pipe or tube. I think BigT can explain it better than myself. He's got the engineering degree. Actually I think he's posted on this subject before somewhere in here.
No bother at all LOL.

Wish BigT would chime in maybe he will see this !

8cm or 3 inch is the inside diameter. Thanks for advice, I will try to make it more narrow.

With an address, I can get you a shipping price. I have found that most of my shipments to over seas locations are around $40, but since my kit comes with domestic shipping included valued at around $10, I would only charge an additional $30 for the shipping to get it over seas to an international location....
