Whats the biggest tires I can put on my 700 without spacers or a lift?
Are you going to run the tire's on stock wheels or after market wheels??

on a 02?
pretty small. i would say 27x8 would be about it. i dont think you could get 28's or 27x10 on the front without it hitting the tierod. fender rubbing is a big problem too.

So 27's are as big as I can go? OK.

its hard to say. just saying i have a xxx bike, what can i run?
it all depends on which tires (some run smaller than others) if your springs are really saggy or not. how big a guy you are. what kind of riding you do. which stock rims you have.
theres a whole lot of factors to getting the exact tire thats borderline being too big but does not rub.

I think you should talk to that rubberdown guy and see if he has a lift for you, then you will have more tire clearance, I hear hes a bit of a meat head but he understands if you speak slowly when you talk to him :D

I've been reading that thread over on the qaudsqaud forum as well and i'm thinking about trying the tie rod flippin also.

i never had a problem with hitting the tie rods. its always been fender clearance.
but then again ive always used aftermarket wheels. the only stock rims ive ever ran were the ones on ym 03 when i bought it. they were the grey steel wheels with the 26" pxt radials.
I myself want to try the tie rod flip to see what the handling difference feels like. From what I'm reading they are talking also about it taking the "bump steer" out of the steering or making it less harsh.
