View Full Version : the sky lit up last night

well last night around 5:30 the sky throughout saskatchewan and alberta lit up. a metiorite had flown overhead. it was pitch black out and all of a sudden you could see like it was sunlight out. it was really bright were i live. they figure the thing fell just south of our town. check out this link for some videos of it. http://www.nowpublic.com/world/massive-fireball-falls-south-lloydminster-alberta
now emagine being right underneath it when it lit up. it was the biggest talk around here today. some stupid people in town phoned the police. som many people called the police that they had to release a press release saying not to phone them. anyway thought you might find it interesting. if you search metiorite in lloydminster on google there is a lot more articles. oh it also shook the houses like a mini earthquake. enough to knock pictures off the walls. at first everyone thought it was lightning but seemed a little wierd for the middle of november.

I saw that on the news.....they said the odds of seeing that were about the same as winning the lottari.
Scientist said it was no bigger than a basketball......sure did light up the sky for something that size!

ya they say it is inbetween the size of a basketball and a car. nobody even new it was coming not even the scientist

no not yet, they haven't found it yet. some scientist from calgary is supposed to come to go looking for it about an hour south of town.

some guy phoned into the radio station the other day because they were getting peoples view on it. he was like that wasn't a metiorite it was chuck norris practicing his new round house kick.

well they are some scientists that claim they found some pieces of this thing. there were scattered bit across the ice on a lake just south or town. some scientist is offering $12000 for a 1kg chunk of this thing.

Just go dig a big rock out of the yard somewhere and spray it with florescent green spray paint and tell em you want your money :D
