Why in the hell would you pull a loaded gun up to a tree stand with a rope??? I have only hunted in a stand once with a rifle, and you bet your ass it was NOT loaded until I had it in my hands and situated in the stand. I wont even pull the cross bow up with it cocked and ready to shoot.

I feel sorry for him and his family, but that was a bad judgment error that caused him to loose his own life.

That's terrible especialy if his grandson found him, but I have to agree with RD. Why would the gun be ready to go if he's not, it's accidents like this that give the anti-gun people a little more support under their soapbox.
