View Full Version : LowBeam Headlight Bulb

I know where to find the lowbeam bulbs on-line and at my local dealer but has anyone found the lowbeam replacement bulbs at an autopart store??

I need a new one before I can take a picture of my 3 light mod I installed last night.It would look stupid to take a picture and post it until I can replace the burnt out lower beam bulb.

BTW-The 3 light MOD was really easy to install....Thanks qaudovator!!!

1-Babbits.com has them at $10.95 EA.

2-My local Dealer has them at 12.95 EA.

Add shipping to #1 and do the math....Dealer is close to home so I know where I'm going stop after work tomorrow.

It should have a trade number on the back. I got one from Napa awhile back. I'm thinking it is a GE 855 but all you have to do is look on the back of the bulb where it plugs in and it will have a trade number. You can take the bulb itself to Napa or any other parts store and they can match it up.

Thanks,Yup it's a GE855.I'll hit napa on lunch tomorrow it's right up the road.Water got in there and burnt the bulb out,i sealed up the other side and will do the same with the burnt out side when it's replaced.

i bought the silverstar bulbs for mine. they were 854's but the only difference was that the 855 has a straight end fr the plug and the 854 has a 90 for the plug.

or its the other way around. i cant remember.

either way they made a huge difference!!! they are alot brighter and shine better than the factory bulbs.

I bet they did...You can put them silverstar bulbs in a truck and they make a big differnce...

Napa had the replacements.Thanks Dirtbmw.

$7.99 EA - Went ahead and got 2. I didnt think about it while I was there or I would've got an extra for the upper highbeam as well.

It turned out to be an 854 and it has the straight end.But the one's I got are just factory replacements not silverstars.
