hey just a quick question. i want to get a foam filter for the 800. just wondering what color uni filter oil is. if it is red or some color i will get a twin air so i can tell easier what parts got oil. i don't want twin air oil becuase it is dam expensive.

Not sure I've only used Maxima FFT oil I like it cause it is very tacky witch I know it's very tacky and its works great at keeping stuff out. It's blue in color got it at the Yamaha dealer like two years ago still using the same bottle 3 bikes it goes a long long way

o ok. i will just save the money and get a uni then, unless i can find another type of oil at the dealer.
Maxima Fab1, stuff is blue, and sticky like you can't imagine. Works fantastic. It's the only foam filter oil I will stock. Others are fine but I love this stuff.

I may have to try some...I been running a K&N but have switched to UNI's on both of my bikes. Its just been too cold here to try them out in the water to see how they do....uh...hold up.
but i did notice the UNI oil Isn't real sticky, mostly just oily!! like the K&N oil except clear!
How much is the Maxima Fab1?

btw, only reason i switched brands is so i could just squeeze & go.............. should i go inverted :fear: which happens regularly sometimes.
I really don't know, its in a big areosol can should be around $10 i guess, but it will last you awhile. For filter cleaner either laundry detergent in warm water or PJ1 foam filter cleaner

Here is the stuff i was telling you about its sticky i put filter in a plastic bag with oil,the only easy way ive found to do it,other wise you waste to much http://http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/ee327/mattdtrue4/1228665045.jpg

the PJ1 oil isn't bad, Its very similar to what some OEMs use from the factory, it is not as gummy/tacky as the fab1 but none the less a good product.
