Can you please take a look at this picture and tell me if there is any room to make the area I am pointing to in read any thicker where the little short red lines are, or will the shoulder interfear with the machines stock shock mounting brakets that are traced in yellow?
Thanks guys, if I can improve it, I dont see why I shouldnt right? Can you specify what year your machine is, and weather its a 650 or a 680 also, thanks guys.

I do not really see the need to thicken that area. They are already thicker than any other lift for the Rincon. I asked my ATV mechanic about that same question and he also said no need. If it breaks I'll call ya RD lol. I finally learned how to do dry ground wheelys and can hold it for a decent ways. My front end has added weight of an XT 2500 winch, AP skids a-arms, AP bash guard, Guru brush guard, and PowerMadd handguards. It takes a bit of effort to raise this front end. I have had no problems landing the front end with this lift.
To answer the question asked ---- thought about it, maybe a slight beed weld on above the red lines.
Machine is an 07 680 EFI.

Hey PAul, mine is a 06 680 and the only place that looks like you can add something is on the inside top where the shock mounts. ON the outside where it mounts to the stock brackets the inside of the brackets are pretty darn close (looking towards the inside of the mount). The only problem that I can see is in the coating. As you can see on the pic, mine is rusting already and I ahven't used any cleaners or even a pressure washer in there just a plain old water hose to clean things up.

thanks buddy, i will switch it back over to a rust proof paint like i used to use. Maybe I can find a local powder coating guy to powder coat some kits....

Powder coating would be nice. But allow for the extra the powder coating puts on. This lift was a tight fit. I had to grind just a little off one of the fronts to get it in the mount.

Guess I will be taking the front off in a few weeks and repaint the front mounts. I may need some sort of tough paint to apply on here. I thought about powder coating but since the mounts are pretty tight guess I will stick with paint. The only thing that I can think is sand is blasting the paint off! Ya'll have any suggestions on a tough paint. I don't want to repaint a couple of times a year.

I use a Tremclad aluminum colored spray paint and it seems to last, any color tremclad should be good, it is made as a rust proof paint for metals.

I have about 42 miles on my lift now and have had no problems. I just got back from a ride down on my farm and will post up pics when I get some free time.

A bead of weld would really add some strenght to that spot but would also cause it to pull the bottom bracket out causing a sloppy fit unless they were bent back in to spec.
What about using a ball nose or 45 deg. cutter to finish off that section.
Just a thought.
