just a word to the wise.
try and do away with those 90 degree bends your using. that will cause the bike to run alot hotter and will make the fan run almost non stop.
i tried the same thing on mine and the fan ran 90% of the time.

Looks good sacul. Glad to see it's coming along. I know the twins run alot hotter than our little 500's plus I think Eric just had some bad luck with plastic fittings at one time, not sure what the culprit was on his bike but I've got FIVE 90* fittings on my plumbing system and my fan hardly ever runs, my bike doesn't get anywhere close to running hot. IF you're gonna run fittings like that just be sure to get them from a parts store, made and designed for HOT coolant, don't get the pvc fittings from Lowes or Home Depot, they aren't made for anything over 160*. No problem on the help, anytime, glad I could help.

i didnt notice his was a 500....
Looking good.I'm still undecided if I'm going to relocate my radiator yet and I stress yet.
I'm sure it'll just be a matter time before I do.

its a double edged sword.
its a lazy mans dream. easily one of the top 3 best mods ive ever done to my bikes. i can count on 0 fingers how many times ive had to clean my rad after a ride.
but the other side of the sword is the fact it takes alot of work and pain and headaches to get it on the rack and get it right.
so yeah it makes you lazy, but you have to work to reap the benefits.

I know they run hotter but do you think they run THAT much hotter than our little 500's ????
I've got a spare radiator out of a 700/800 twin that I use for radiator brackets, I thought about finding a twin fan and putting that huge radiator and fan on my little 500 but haven't been able to find a complete fan at a good price yet.

i am finally going to relocate mine (i am tired of always having to clean it out). sinse i have took so long to do it i now have seen so many different designs and have put it all into one for a great design.

the 90's i used are from napa i kept asking the guy "you sure these aren't gonna bust right" he kept laughing and said yes. so i'm taking his word for that. i got my waterpump seal changed today, after making my oun puller, and ogt to try it out. works great. when the fan comes on it only runs for a fraction of the time it used to. the only thing i can see is when nest summer comes around i may have to make somthing to keep the hot air off me. but oh well. definatly a great mod if you ride in the mud

tried it out tonight on an actual ride, works great it doesnt' blow hot air in my face like i thought it was. it goes basicly straight down the fender. now all i need to do is make a screen to protect it.

you guys that relocate your rad do you remove the plastic side rad protector things. they are the litle plastic panels that are connected to the side of the rad guard.

no i didnt. it makes a really stupid looking "void" area under the front of your bike.
i left mine there to cover that up. i even cut a piece of diamond plate aluminum to go over the front screen on my 03 700. the screen had fallen off months before and when i moved the rad it was just a big hole in the front. the aluminum made it look alot better.
