Don't see why it couldn't happen. The goat looked like a young one.

I witnessed an owl killing a wild turkey a couple of years ago.......It swooped down from behind the turkey, hit it just below the neck and ripped the ENTIRE spinal column out of the turkey!!

I would have to say fake only because of how the camera follows the bird. No way they had that many cameras to catch it flying down the valley & stuff. Just looked to NICE to me????

That said A Harpy Eagle weighs 20lbs & has a 7' wing span & kill things that weigh 50% more than they do. So its totally possible for it to take an animal that size.

I would bet on a trained bird. People train them to hunt.

I don't know about this exact video, but what they are showing is true. It is possible for an eagle to take down a full sized deer. There is one species of eagle that has talons over 6" long, long enough to pierce the heart of a deer. This species actually hunts deer in the wild.
People have also been known to train eagles to hunt.

Don't you mean pierce the heart of an eagle?

Totaly possible, a couple years ago an eagle tried to get a guys dog a couple towns over. It carried the dog 30 feet into the air before the eagle lost it's grip. The dog lived but need some crazy amount of stiches and had broken legs. They showed pictures of the dog on the news and he wasn't that small. If I rememberf correctly he was a 8 months old lab, must of been 20-25 pounds anyway. I don't let my little beagle run free at the resevoir behind my house, every time shes out there the hawks start circling, it's pretty creepy.

it didn't look like a deer to me, looked and sounded like a sheep? anyway the eagle didn't actually pick up what ever it is. kinda grabed it and dragged it off the side of the mountain, gliding downward. it's still a large lunch for the eagle. now if it had just dropped it right away the animal would have tenderized. a little badder and we got some schnitzel, mmm...schnitzel. lol.
