Any one else see it at the Royal Distributing sale?
The rep said it has more power than the popo Outlaw 525 does.
Its a nice looking bike but i can see spending $12000 for a bike that cant go in the mud.

Looks to be a nice bike. From my understanding those KTM engines flat scream. :couch2:

Looks killer, I am pretty sure we will be testing the popo outlaw with the KTM 525 powerplant this season and I rode the popo 500 outlaw last year, I cant wait to see the difference in the KTM motor.

Yep I read that the 525 Outlaw will pull the front wheels off the ground at 50 with only the throttle. No pulling required.
From what i have read Paul the KTM is a whole different world when compaired to the 500

the KTM engine is designed specifically for racing, the power bands are set up in just the right places, and it's very very light. The Fuji engine (old 500 in the outlaw/pred) didn't have the power bands in the right places, and it was very heavy. The upside to it was that the engine was nearly indestructible. The new KTM engine won't last nearly as long between rebuilds for the average rider as the Fuji one will.
The Outlaw 525 WILL pull the front wheels off the ground very easily at pretty much any speed, and honestly it scares the crap out of me. I've only had it a bit over 60, and was a bit nervous.
The engine is the same on the KTM and the Polaris 525, though I'm not sure if they're tuned differently.
In my opinion, the outlaw 500 was an awesome bike for taking on the trails as well as jumping or really playin around with. The durability of the 500 engine made it a great bike for the average person that didn't like mud, but didn't want to wrench on their bike all the time.
The outlaw 525 is lighter and mroe powerful, which means it is a much much better race bike, but for the average person that likes to trail ride it might not be the best choice because the less durable engine will require more upkeep, and frankly it's more power than most people need.

ever ridden a KTM 505, 520 or 525 mx bike?
they have torque like a tractor, unbeleivable power. if the engine is the same i'm sure it'll flat out scream.

The motor is the same as out of the 525. In fact, the first prototype that was built they took a MX bike, pulled the engine and scrapped the rest of the bike.
Amazing power, and awesome brakes. Dual bore 1" calipers, Polaris designed, with a Bao Hong hand master cylinder with a brake lever designed exclusively by Polaris for this bike.
they say the front brakes are ready for 1 finger endos
