Sorry bout the bad pics, was with my phone...
But that lil jewel is the PRE-FILTER on the fuel pump inside the fuel tank..
I rode creek/water all summer long, rode mud ONE time in the winter.. MAN...
That thing is CLOGGED with mud...
I noticed the next time I filled up with gas, that I had a lil mud or remnance of mud inside the filler neck, but didn't think nothing of it.. And didn't NOTICE anything for atleast 7-8 tanks later...
Yesterday on a ride in Crel Springs Illinois, I couldn't get it to run hardly at ALL.... I was thinking fuel pump, along with probus.... Well, that cutting out, and dying was due to that lil thing..

:director:WoW, what a sorry excuse for a fuel CAP... MAN....

Is the water/mud getting in the gas cap or the tank vent(s)? If ya haven't already done it, run the tank vent to the pod. Check the one way valves in the vents. Mine was put in backwards from the factory!! The gas cap shouldn't leak, that's what the vent(s) is for. Ya might want to check the tank gromet (sp?) where the vent comes out also.

Thanks ridge, No I havent ran the vents yet, only thing on it I like, and the grommet is good.....
But, there was mud in the filler neck right under the cap, and IN the cap itself also.. It may have been vent line, but, it sure looked like the cap..
I am gona run the vents, AND look into a different cap or new one or maybe make a better gasket or something for the cap.....

From the looks of it on aurora, this has happened to alot of people, and in my opinion should be a yearly maintinance check on it.. Atleast I will on mine!!!

Oh, also while you are running the tank vents, run the gearbox vent as well.
