800 efi exsaust

I was told by my dealer that header pipes and duels were special order for the 800

My 07 came with the Y pipe and a single muffler; I guess that combo is ok except for the heat. To battle the heat I wrapped the pipe all the way to the muffler, not much help, and it feel apart (the wrap) during cleanup after mudding.

I found a set of duel mufflers on eBay (Polaris) with all the hardware. Put them on and WOW. Then a week later I got the header style pipe off of eBay, Polaris again, with the updated heat shield.

The popo runs cooler now and doesn’t give up a thing when it goes under water.

Why would this be a special order? (more money in after sale upgrade?)

I cant imagine the single being any hotter than the duals. Mine has the duals on it and damn does it burn my leg. That S.O.B is HOT

is it the Y or header style, the duels dident cool it that much. the header with the long heat shield helped a lot.
