just a thought.....but with the trip I took in June....it was lot of trial and errors....but man after looking over the trip I took.....I would amend it....even though I came abit gunshy after my mishap....if we were a group.......there was some areas I would have challenged with others but not myself....

If anybody is into doing a run say next May or June....for a week for two.....bascially working from Lindsay area......over to the Quebec border?....please let me know.....cause I feel the stir in my blood....lol
Also if a magazine or show network came along I think it would be awesome....to definately promote our trails and communities

I know there has been alot of negativity on here(such as people not wanting to travel outside their zone).....but each morning I was on the trip...I was on such a high waking up to a new experience......

Folks if you choose to not ride outside your area....then fine... there is nothing wrong with that.....but comeon now......but to create a province wide system.....I think it would be awesome

It puts money back into the communities...supporting them(since the sales of sleds are down dramatically in the last few years)

It also gives people like my wife and I to experience the beauty we have in our own backyard.....

I know some folks might think that I did this because I have cancer...but I have been living with cancer for over 25 years.....I have always been a great admirer of what we have in this great province of ours

Does it give you a different prespective?.......Yes......does it make you appreciate what you have even more?......Definately.....

My God folks.....you don't realize how lucky you are to have trails right at your back door...especially up north......

Take alook at 800efi and his club. east of Ottawa.....they have setup an enormous trail system....WITHOUT CROWNLAND!!....now folks I commend him and his club..... cause through years of experience I know that is a job within itself...."ITS EASY TO CRITISIZE....DIFFICULT TO PRAISE"....

The people I met along
the way I can only say they were awesome.......definately awesome...definately a win-win situation.....even the Local Store owners were awesome

Auxsgt (who was my sidekick all the way)....what can I say....thanx Bernie
800efi (can't say enough about this guy)....man what an awesome guy .supported me from Day 1.....
Denbeigh.....who also supported me from Day 1 and accompanied me from Pembroke to Sharbot Lake
Glen Draper from Drapers Restaurant who is instrumental to getting me across the top of Algonquin Park from Mattawa to Pembroke.....and also supplying me with a guide(thanx Leon)
Peter Christensen from Buttermilk Falls Resort who was the first to stand up to my vision and gave me one of the nicest accomodations I ever experienced....
And last but not least Hugh and Howard from the Haliburton ATV Rescue Unit who helped me outta a whole lotta mess(otherwise I would still be making friends with the deer flies)

So if your interested.....I mean seriously interested.....then pm me.....

That i'm guilty of but I didnt think I was being negative about it.I do travel and go places outside my home area quite a few times a year.Myself being a new-comer to the ATV world I just havent done any ATV related traveling yet outside of my home state.A lot of you folks are pro-riders compared to me and I have no wish of making a fool out of myself becuase I may not have my body english down good enough to wiggle myself out of mud hole or some other situation or the fact that i've never competed in a mud bog etc, etc, etc.

Turk......we are not pro-riders......you will find on this site.....and others.....we're just folks who love the sport.......when I travelled......it didn't matter where I went.......the enthusiasm was the same...everywhere......and I do mean everywhere.....

For years Turk....I did my riding locally......and there was nothing wrong with that......just as you do....to each their own.....

Hell....I broke through a rinkadinky plank bridge over a swamp....stranded for over 7 hours.....smoked a notebook, camera.....soaked my suitcase...yep it was a mistake......but you suck it in....deal with it the best way you can and move on.....did it make me stronger?......I believe so....did I learn from it?.....definately....did I gain anything from it?.....oh yeah...

When we go on a run....with others......there is always sometime one of us gets stuck.....but others are there to assist....not laugh.....hey man its the memories.....and when you can sit back and laugh about the experience and make some new friends......then that's what's its all about...

Just like a few of us trying to head down to Georgia....
if we had more time trying to work out the details I really think it woulda happened.....man I think that woulda been so cool....seeing such a large crowd....trying to push their machines to the limit.....you know what I am talking about

Yes I do what your talking about and I do plan to make atv type trips outside of my state in the future.First will be a trip up to northern florida to get my feet wet.I have some family in Tennessee who want me to come up there to ride with them and i'm really looking foward to making that trip.I bought my atv so I would get out and live a little more and thats what I want to do.

Ya know whats worse then getting stuck,,,,,,,,,
The pro-riders sitting on the sidelines,,,Not wanting to get stuck.(I call them cheerleaders:cheer2:,)

Go on, get in there,
get stuck in a hole ,have one of the cheerleaders pull you out, then go for it again, and again, and again
TEAR IT UP
Have fun.

If i can get a few months notice i should be able to swing a trip to the states with the wife next summer. Sounds like a blast but i would need some time to save some extra $$$ & get someone to watch the kids for a few days...
