First complete set done and ready to go to. This was supposed to be my personal set for my ATV but after some conversations with a fellow from LA, I have decided to sell this set to this gentlemen so that he has a set to race with at the Mud Nats in a couple weeks. I figure its a good way to get them seen :drum:

I had 3 sets made in total for personal use for myself and 2 friends from the site, I have 5 more sets being made, the disks will all be black, the rings will be any one of the following colors, Yellow, Red, Blue, and possibly Green. They can do just about any color, but some colors cost more to get done, so I have only listed the basics....

Nice. How exactly do those valvestems work?? Isn't it just a solid plate they are going into?? or is there a hole drilled in the plate down to the valvestem?

How about MY blue ones ????????? LMAO.

Paul, shoot me a PM with some info on these things. You never did tell me what a set is gonna cost me and I'm not sure if I ever saw a FINAL weight on them with center disc, outer rings, valve stems, nuts, bolts, etc...... I gotta figure out if they are going to weight effective compared to my aluminum wheels, my little ole 500 ain't got the power them twin bikes do.

I've looked but can't find the info.

Anybody know where to get the weight of the ITP SS106 wheels ?????

Dirtbmw20
03-23-2009, 09:51 AM
Nevermind, I found it. My SS106 wheels weigh about 9.5lbs each and that's with the lug nuts. I'de be adding a total of 19.6lbs to my bike by going with these wheels and that's changing my rear tires from 12.5's to 9.5's so I'de be running 9.5's on all four corners. That just might be doable !!!!!!!!

What kind of tires have you guys seen mounted up on this kind of wheel other than OutLaws/SilverBacks/ EDL's??? Just Curious. With our dollar going for a sh$$, those are out of my reach right now.
I'm thinking about going with skinny Executioners or 28X8 MudZillas.......any thoughts?

also dont you need me to test a set of the 14inch aluminum's for ya at the cmr race next weeknd???

hampster_rancher
06-25-2009, 09:37 AM
What year 90? This kit will work up to '06 ( All the 2-strokes ) The four strokers are different.
Its a 2 1/2 inch kit and give lots of room for up to 22's if you lengthen the rear swing arm 3 inches.

yea, its a 03 2 stroke ..thats about what im lookin for..

hampster_rancher
06-25-2009, 09:48 AM
It'll bolt right up, 20 mins. You will have to cut and lengthen the swing arm. This will make it sit a little high in the rear untill the kid is on it, then it levels out.

Guys, myself and a lot of others have been trail riding the crap out of these, and honeslty, I love them for trails, never have to worry about popping a bead off the wheel, and great side lug traction.

dcfox
06-27-2010, 06:39 PM
but no flotation in the water right?

Rubberdown
06-27-2010, 06:40 PM

hampster_rancher
06-27-2010, 07:13 PM
David, I ran 28X12 Mudzillas on LoX on all 4 corners on my Polaris.....they worked AWESOME on trails. You can run whatever air psi in them you want to make them float. Or, you could run aluminum ones in the front ( to save weight and help the front end to come up easier in the water ) and steel ones in the rear ( to keep the rears on the bottom ). They work great in the ruts by wrapping the tread WAY around the side....and as an added bonus, they will NEVER pop off the bead.

dcfox
06-27-2010, 07:44 PM
Wonder how they would be on staggered size Silverbacks.(12's in back and 10's in front)
My Rhino is just a 450 so I'm wondering...fats in back/skinnies in front...fats on all 4 or skinnies on all 4.

hampster_rancher
01-24-2011, 05:09 PM
Steel LoX are heavy, keep you on the bottom
Aluma LoX are light, rob less power due to less rotating mass.

You WILL require at least a 1" spacer all around to run them on your Popo.

Run them flat for racing, pump them up for trails (I usually run 15lbs for fast trails.)

Silverbacks work great on them. EDL's probably handle the worst on them. Mudzilla's are the most trail friendly on them (Wide Mudzilla's work the best on LoX, the tread crosses over more....GREAT COMBO)

Do 'Lox add or decrease wheel offsets? Just curious...

stricker76

They have no offset at all.

ready2goriding
01-24-2011, 08:08 PM

So I should factor in my factory offsets to determine width?

stricker76
01-24-2011, 08:10 PM
Width of what? They are 1/4" thick plates

hampster_rancher
01-24-2011, 08:12 PM
They will make your machine wider (half of whatever your negative offset is.)

The spacers are only so the LoX will clear the hubs.

ready2goriding

do lox make the tire profile higher ?

Rubberdown

I've got both sets of my 12" wheels sold...have a set of 14" ITP Sportlocks with 28" Zillas coming for the Rhino...and have a set of 28" Skinny/Wide Silverbacks that will need some wheels if I decide to keep them.

12" steel 66 lbs.
14" steel 78 lbs.
12" alum. 18lbs.
14" alum. 23 lbs.

I'm pretty sure this is our shipping weights, give or take a pound or 2, this is the wheels and rings, the shipping box, a pound of shipping shrink wrap and tape, all the hard ware and the 3 instal threaded rods.

Those look cool...were they wides on all 4 or skinnies?

I thought that if I got wides, they may get taller when squished. Wrong. We all know what thought did.hahaah
They make your machine more capable then U will ever imagine. Go anywhere wheels and tires they are.

Trust me...if my Rhino was back together...i would have bolted them up and snapped some pics...just to torment you.

If i can figure out a way to swing it...I may try to pick up a set of Lox for these Silverbacks.
Cant decide if the weight savings of the aluminum ones is worth the cost increase for me.

That's a lot of weight to consider, but on an already heavy sxs- who knows?

12" steel 66 lbs.
14" steel 78 lbs.
12" alum. 18lbs.
14" alum. 23 lbs.

I'm pretty sure this is our shipping weights, give or take a pound or 2, this is the wheels and rings, the shipping box, a pound of shipping shrink wrap and tape, all the hard ware and the 3 instal threaded rods.

Paul...is that a mis-print...or for some reason are the 12" Lox heavier than the 14" Lox?(and are these weights are per wheel/per pair or set of 4?)

Personally, if U don't race save your money. Mine were only on one trail ride and they aren't bad at all. Like I say, the ruts are different cause of the side bite. U don't have the worry of breakin a wrist driving the sxs. In low gear this beater will climb trees if I wanted to.haha
I was NEVER stuck, only broke once. U seen the trails at St. Willys that were posted. Some knarly sheeet fo sho. Never even blinked, just kept bittin and rollin.

My deal for weight isn't for racing...but the fact that my Rhino is just a 450...and every bit of extra weight I can save helps.

Sorry David, all fixed up, and those weights are per set of 4 in the box ready to ship.

dcfox

so then...subtracting the packaging weight(lets assume 3 lbs)...
We're looking at each wheel being approx.:

12" steel 15.75 lbs.
14" steel 18.75 lbs.
12" alum. 3.75 lbs.
14" alum. 5 lbs.

this sound about right?

I guess that would make the steel Lox weigh a little more than your average aluminum atv wheel...and the aluminum Lox weigh about the same as the lug nuts.lol.

Ya, I would weight them all tinight but I dont have any aluminum lox in stock right now, sorry.

Not necessary Scott...I just wanted an approximate weight.
For the money...I'd probably go with the steelies anyway.

Can you give me an idea of the tire width 9" ,10" ,12"? or does it matter as long as they are all the same? and does it add any extra hight to the tire once it's mounted?

Rubberdown
10-21-2011, 08:23 AM
you can use any tire size you like and they do not have to be the same width. also, they wont make the tires taller

Just a quick question, have you known anyone to run MudLite XTR's on these wheels?

^^I've never...almost seems a little redundant. I don't see how they will serve their purpose as well with the smaller lug tire. I'm no expert and would try it anyway if I had em' so give er.
