Well I'm at Mud nats and was suppose to have my Big Red reduction done but parts didnt make it in time. So I left my untested 30 inch Silverbacks on and was really conserned but as usual the Rincon didnt let me down turned them bitches like 27's :whoo:. But I am still anxious for the reduction. Let ya know how that goes hopefully next weekend.

Did you take it in any peanut butter mud?? I'm sure it turns them fine in water.

Yea, not the worst mud by no means but pretty bad. When they would start to bog I would just hit the throttle pretty good and there I went. Im not sayin that its not gonna bog down but its not as bad as people try to make it. Im not partial to Honda either, I own an Arctic Cat Mud pro also.

I'm with ya there, rincons are not the bigdog but they do ok. my 30" mud lites do real well on my Rincon. real thick clay is to much for her tho. Like you I'm going to put big red gears in one of my Rincons.

Scotty's Rincon did much better than I expected!!!!!!!!!!!! I was afraid he was going was going to be disappointed without his gear reduction, but it actually did better with his
30" Silverbacks than it did with his 27" Swamplites.

what's the width on those silverbacks,I was gonna go with skinnies all around thought that might help in the thick stuff

30x11x14's all the way around, but not easy. I had to install HL's fender kit,1.5" wheel spacers (prolly not necessary) and cut back some lower fender. But it came out looking and working real well. You can see a pic or two in my photo album of Mud Nationals.

Good luck!! Ive had my gear reduction for a bit now and I got into some bad ass mud this last weekend and I was stuck as hell but the tires never quit turning and I have never had better luck with a tire than with the Silverbacks. Sweet for water wheelies and awesome mud slingers.

HL makes a different set of brackets that dont stick out as far as the factory ones

I have the HL fender kit and still had to remove some plastic with a razor but still looks good and I only have about 10 pounds of pressure. With the fender kit you still wanna step up on the foot peg because it is a little flexy in front of it. I doubt it will break because it is engineered very well in my opinion but why chance it. If you need a quick fix just get a 2 pound sledge a give them factory brackets a little tappy tap tap!!!

I took out the Rincon with BigRed innerds and 30' mudlites she has alot more tork, went in some thick clay about 15" deep and she ripped threw it with ease. There is one problem tho, I got kinda muddy!

Thanks!, do you guys think that 28 mudzillas 28x10x12 front and 28x12x12 in rear look ok? im not always just mud runnin i do a lot of trail too but i like having the aggresive mud tires.

I think Mudzillas are overkill if you do alot of trails, and heavy!! I'd take a good look at Zillas. Havn't tried mine out yet, but have heard nothing but good things about them.
