Front 700 / 550 Grizzly Lift Kit Instructions

-Lift the ATV off the ground with a good ATV lift jack

-Remove the top shock mounting bolts on both sides of the machine using a 14mm and 17mm wrench or sockets and pull the top end of the shock towards the wheels out of the way of the factory mounting bracket.

-Slide Plate # 1 into place. NOTE: If you have the power steering model, you may need to remove the small plastic shroud on the steering unit, there are 2 bolts holding it in place.

-On both sides of the ATV, put a bolt through the top holes of plate #1, through the first side of the factory shock mount, through one of the aluminum spacers and then through the second side of the factory shock mount. This is done with the bolts pointing towards the front of the machine.

-To slide Plate # 2 into position, you will have to remove the 2 plastic wire clips along the cross member of the frame, I used a flat screw driver and just pushed them from the side until they snapped loose

-Once you have the plate all the way through the machine, slide the 2 bolts through plate #2 and put a nut on each of the 2 bolts, BUT KEEP THEM LOOSE

-Now you can put the shock into place and put a bolt through plate #1, the shock, and plate #2, some slight down pressure on the tire may be required to get the bolt through both plates and the shock, once you do this on both sides, you can tighten up all 4 bolts, tighten them evenly like you would when installing a wheel.

Let me know how it goes, we found the front inner holes to be a little bit tight to get the bolts through, we will adjust on the next run of kits, but it could be that this machine was out a little bit and not the kit, so let me know how yours goes together in the front.

This kit went into the red machine pictured above and he added 30" mudzillas and he now only reffers to the machine as "BEAST" so needless to say, he was very happy with everything!

Finally have the lift installed. Went for a spin yesterday and so far so good. I was a little concerned about losing some of the great handling the Grizz has, but it feels and handles great. A bit stiffer ride maybe, but that's OK. Can always adjust the springs (shocks) if needed. I don't expect any problems with the axles as long as a bit of common sense is used on the throttle. I'm not big into mud but like the extra ground clearance. Hell, it's worth it for the looks alone. My rims are 14 inch ITP's with 26 inch TerraCross rubber. For anyone wanting a lift, GO FOR IT! You won't go wrong with this kit. Thanks RDC, Paul and Melissa. Here's some pics, hope you like them.

looks great King Of Bling and you hit the nail on the head, with any mod like big tires or a lift kit or both, common sense will allow you to ride the next day and the next day and so on and so on. Any of my bad axle situations have always ALWAYS been my own fault for a few reasons, too proud to let a honda pull me out, too cool to give up when the mud hole clearly won the battle, stuff like that LOL. Anyways, the machine looks great, thanks for sharing the pics!

Well ordered them up last week I hope they make it in time for the deer hunts LOL anyway I look forward to the lift it looks way nice and GREAT craftsmanship I think I will put a glow light or leds behind the bracket on the rear just to make it glow through I think that would look way nice. Anyways thanks Paul I will post some pics when done.

Your gonna love how easy it is to install. The rear was a little tougher than front. I used ratchet strap to my jack to suck the wheel down so shock would line up. No prob thou just use the ole noggin.
