Lookin at a new bike but not sure which way to go. Always had polaris but the outty is lookin good.Price is close. Outty warranty is better. Our local outty dealer i think has better service and better parts supply. We just got a outty 650 max for the misses. It seems really good. The 800 feels like it could eat the xp850 and spit out a honda. Whatever I get will get a make over so I have to look at parts availability to. Any thoughts would be great:frusty:

The new 800R is a very strong bike. As for it eating a 850XP.. I don't think it would. It would nibble on it pretty hard but not totally eat it. My bro-in-law has a bone stock 850XP and my bike in my sig can just pull him on a long run. He pulls me hard off the line (2-3 bike lengths) but I beat him in the long run by about that many bikes.

It all depends on what kind of riding you do. If you ride more trails and fun, fast areas get the Can Am. If your in mud most of the time, I would have to lean towards the 850.

But no matter how much faster or better looking or better on the trails a bike is, it's not worth it if you have a bad dealer who will try and stiff you on warranty work.

Myself I'd go with the Outty, I had a 2009 XP850 E.P.S and it was a great machine when it didn't overheat and when I managed to have it (cause it was always in the dealer getting fixed) (all of it was problems with the machine, not ones that I caused) I was lucky if I got two rides out of it in a row, then back to the dealer for at least 3 weeks. I bought a 2012 800 Xmr and just finished the 10 hr break in, and right now it feels like it could easily out-do the XP, doesn't even compare, it could eat the XP. That's my opinion anyways
