Anyone know where i can get some pics or instructions on snorkeling a newer popo to the headlight pod? Can't really get any help and the Triangle Boys seem to want to keep there "way" of snorkeling on the down low? I seen some pretty good pictures of 1BadRincon's on HL of his 800sp. BUt was wondering if anyone has anymore?

I helped 1BadRincon with his snorkel setup and could likely answer some of your ?'s. BTW, don't be fooled by some of the triangle boys. Most of them have their snorkels inside their speaker box on the front of the bike. The others have cut away everything behind their headlight lens except the mounting points in order to fit all three hoses inside their pod.

Ok...so I'm bumping up a year and a half old post...
I searched and couldn't find another topic on this.
Could someone please post detailed pics of the process of snorkeling everything to the pod(if possible) on a 800 fuel injected Polaris?
I'm actually local to Triangle ATV...but why spend $275 plus labor for something that I can do myself for a fraction of the cost?

Your welcome to do your bike like you want but be aware of the drawback of doing snorkels in the pod. Heat build up is extremme inside the pod doing it this way. The belt exhaust puts out massive amounts of heat and its directed right back into your belt intake and airbox intake. the belt really never gets a chance of taking in new, fresh cool air. Plus if you do happen to get water into your belt housing it will puke it out the exhaust at a pretty astounding volume. The chances of that water making it in to your airbox with pod snorkels is 1000x greater.
And yes. The triangle boys have theirs in the speaker boxes on the front. Don't let them fool you.

I knew they had theirs in the boxes.
Thanks for the info.I didn't know about the heat buildup.
That's why I'm asking questions...trying to figure out the best way to do things...so I don't have to do them more than once when the time comes.

Actually, the belt exhaust doesn't go into the pod, so those concerns you have bankrupt don't really apply.

in order to fit all three hoses inside their pod.
If you run all 3 hoses inside the pod then how does that not apply?

2 airbox intake, 1 clutch intake. The clutch exhaust stays outside.

Hey buddy,
PM "Mole"
He recently ran all three hoses to the pod on his 07 700. It was a clean job, I have seen it. If you need pictures of it, if he doesn't have them, I can take some the next time I am over at his house. Do you need these ASAP or just getting everything lined up for a new bike?

So I take it you made your decision. I didn't even need to counsel you, lol. Rebel64 has some great pics in his photobucket as well. I don't have many pics but I'll help you out if you want. Just give me a call. My belt exhaust doesn't go in my pod either. It's close to it, but far enough to avoid the concerns that Bankrupt had with it.

I'm actually going to redo mine SOON with different hose. I know that Rebel64 and sfd_324 both have good pics of stealth snorks. Once I get mine redone I can snap some better pics of it if you want David if you're not in a hurry to get it done.
I also only ran the 2 air intakes and the belt intake in the pod. I left the belt exhaust away from the other 3 hoses.

Just wondering if that makes it any harder to steer when you snorkel them into the pod? I know all that stuff has to give when you turn the steering wheel.

Can't really tell...had the 29fives on before the snork job, so it was already tough to steer. (but a good workout)

From my experience I can not really tell a difference. My Popo has always been pretty tough to steer on the trails especially with aftermarket tires.

Any chance I can come over and help you rerun yours with different pipe? I want to steal some pipe from you when you do yours and run my CVT exhaust higher. My Air Intake is already at the top of the seat stock.

No rush at all.
I don't even have a Quad yet.
I'm just trying to get all of my ducks in a row for when I do.
When I finally get one...I don't want to spend too much time modding...I want to RIDE!!!!!!!.

Sure thing buddy. As soon as I find some hose that I like that I can afford I'll let ya know. I would like to go with Triangle hose but $3.50/foot is kinda steep!

That will work but it's just like what I have pretty much. I just used some shop vac hose from Lowes and it's on the stiff side but very durable. It's hard to work with and I'm wanting something a little more flexible but it still has to be durable.
I've seen some people use the spa hose from Lowes as well. There is some that is solid white and they also have some black and blue hose that is a little more flexible but they maybe the stuff that is $3.50 that you are talking about.

My steering did not change and I have all four of mine in the pod.Three in the front and one in the front light(exhaust).

I ment three in the back of the pod and the exhaust snork in the highbeam light.

That would be tough to do I think, unless you cut out the entire inner bulb mount section. I did that with the blackout lens since it's molded from the same fixture. But, if you have a clear lens, don't you think that would look sort of unprofessional if you saw the tube where the light is supposed to be? And also, you'd be sucking in that hot dirty air into the intakes.
It's just best to keep the exhaust snork separate from the intakes.
Mine originally stopped just under the front fuze access panel, but I extended it into sort of a U-shaped trap and now it stops right behind the shift lever.
