Battery Light Flashing

my battery light flash's when i go over 3500 rpm, but stops after 4000, does not flash at idel or if in park or nutral. any ideal?

checked the battery, the ground was loose. then i put my volt meter on it

12.4 volt (cold)

12.3 v (ignition on)

11.9 v (start)

14.2 v (idel 1180 rpm)

13.8 v (lights, break lights, winch, engine fan all on at idel)

18.4 v (3300 rpm no lights or accessary's on)

the monster is sitting on the trailer, i am takeing to dealer in the morning.

Sounds like a bad voltage regulator, 14.2 is about as high as it should get.
I'd say your lucky she still runs, 18.4 volts would toast an automotive computer for sure, I've had cars in my shop overcharging at 17 volts with damaged control modules and computers.

the voltage regulator/rectifier is hard to find and its expensive too!!!
