We are still waiting on a couple of parts and a couple of tires (the size was back ordered) but this will give an idea of what we will end up with. He is going to have right around 16.5 inches under the floor boards.
2inch RD lift, 14inch SwampLoX, 30 X 11 Mudzilla's and snorkles. Jr couldn't bare not being able to follow me and Paul, so out came the wallet!

They came to us from the U.S. but I think they are the Mexican ones. They might have a total of about 20 miles on them

i hated mine on the trails made the tire to skinny and it would just dig down.

I would definately have to agree with the EDL's on them. Not a good combo on trails, but then again, EDL's are a terrible trail tire IMO anyway.
Now the 12 wide Mudzilla's on them are a totally different animal! That is a great combo!

So your running 30 wide Mudzillas on crushlocks? How do you thing 30 wide Backs would do. I can get hold of a pair of wides pretty cheap, and I already have skinny/wides on my Outty.

I think they would probably work pretty good. They would ride ruff but would offer a little more flotation in mudholes along trails.
Oh, and those are RubberDown customs Swamp LoX :canada:

Whould you go with the skinnys or wides all around? Or a skinny/wide combo?
hampster_rancher

Depends on what you would be doing with it. Racing, skinnies all around. Trail/mud, wides.

Yeah I ride trails and mud. Lots of thick heavy mud and silty high watered swamps. I was thinking Of trying to get some 31" Outlaws but this seems kinda interesting.
How do the crushlocks change the performance of the tire? (Sorry I'm stil new to some stuff.

They wrap the tread around the sides more, for more side bite. For racing, they cut a narrower profile and you can run them flat which = less flotation. On the trail, it offers more side bite in ruts and the edges of mud pits. Wides crushed offers all of the above plus the ability to not dig for the bottom getting you stuck in the bottomless stuff.

I watched most of the first clip, it looks like you are running mud lights, if you run backs or laws in that stuff, you will have to do a lot less work to get though it all. Put those on the swamp lox and look out, it wont hardly be a challenge anymore LOL.

Wow, I'm learning a lot here! Keep the conversation going! Always been partial to Swamp-Locks... I may need new wheels! With 31's of course... The plan changes yet again...

Still kinda curious about the effects of swamploks on the wide Backs. Wouldnt it give the tire a more rounded profile, letting it dig faster?
Would putting the Swamplocks on make the tire taller since the edges are being pinched together, especially with the wides?
